What is LF7's motivation for the rest of the season??

Before the season a few analyst suggested LF7 sit this season out to avoid injury, and of course he said no way. However, after the first four games, LSU's chances of reaching the playoff and Fournette's chances of winning the Heisman are gone. His beloved coach just got canned and his team is headed for a 7-5 season... For me it would be hard to put full effort in and risk injury and never having a chance to play in the NFL. So my question is, how does LF7 finish out the season?

No clue. I can see this team going in two vastly different directions. Either playing like there is nothing to lose or just completely packing it in.

first off, he should sit until he's healthy...he has a future to protect...and I don't think anyone should begrudge him that...

Hope the Saints go first pick

I think his comment on the firing of Les said a lot about where his mind is at. He said that he thinks coach Miles understands that football is a business and that tells me that he also understands that it is a business. I think LF is playing to remain injury free and sign a multimillion dollar contract and that is exactly what he should be doing.

His motivation is to tank the rest of the season to make Miles look better in hindsight.

He will be playing to increase his draft stock even more.

i dont really see him packing it in. While he definitely doesnt want a bad injury do you really think he wants to go out on a really bad season? i imagine he fights to at least try to beat bama or ole miss at home.

O will be ripping his shirt off in no time trying to get the team fired up

His motivation as of today? If LSU wins out, they will be SEC Champions.

People play football bc they love playing football. LF's motivation is he loves playing football.

He will play his arse off for his teammates, and the coaching staff still at LSU. These guys can still play for the coach they love, he just won't be on the sidelines.......
As he said, time to go win out.
As he said, time to go win out.

He is a high level athlete. Athlete's like LF don't half arse play to prevent injury, they play because they have a passion for the game.

His motivation is the same as it's always been.
He loves to play football.
He loves Louisiana. and he loves LSU.
I don't think that the fact that he's going to get paid for it was ever his main motivation.
He has a good opportunity to go out as one of the most loved and accomplished LSU athletes of all time.
