That non-holding call was terrible and Bama did not deserve that touchdown. The late hit on Devin White was ticky tack, and in a game and situation like that, should not have been called.

It was not a good day for SEC officials in general on Saturday. Ritter and the replay guys blew the call in the Auburn-Vandy game, and A&M's punt return had an obvious block in the back.

The SEC has always favored its best teams. We got a lot of calls when we were on top, too.

Probably so but I recall some real bad calls, particularly in 2006.

I'd like to see NCAA refs instead of conferences.

Is it time for LSU to at least consider a move to the Big 12. Would send shock waves.

Hey pos, had we won the game I would have said same thing. One can understand we need an overhaul to get back to elite but can also see some bs that has long been going on with bama and not just directed at LSU but at any team that puts up a challenge. Bama always gets critical calls in critical situations. All you ever do is shite on LSU. You honestly seem like a miserable person.

The better team won and Hurts played wsy better than you said he would. Face it your whole breakdown before the game was dead wrong.

please stop with this nonsense.

Every team in the country can find several plays every game that were bad calls against them. Hell, every play has 22 guys running around colliding with each other on a very large field. Calls get missed. It happens, for all teams.

If you asked Bama fans, I'm sure they'd have several calls that went against them. I remember one - the phantom false start penalty on our goal line in the 4th quarter. Even Danielson admitted that was a bad call. So it happens to all teams.

Fans that focus on the referees are REALLY missing the bigger picture. And it's immature as hell.

SEC officials have worked for decades to rise to this level. They are graded every game. You think they'll risk all that to help a particular team???

And if you think it's bigger than that - that there's a wide conspiracy among many SEC refs to help Bama - then I simply don't know what to tell you. Other than to find a good psychiatrist.

Hey dumb frick, where did I say any of that? I just asked which of all the possible scenarios were most likely? At the very least they are incompetent.

You aren't imagining things, however with us scoring zero, we still would have unfortunately lost 6-0 It just feels like the gumps have an intimidation factor that resonates to the official, in that they won't make a close call against them. Screw the gumps

The head of SEC officiating is a Bama grad. Why do the other 15 schools in the SEC allow this? If for no other reason than the appearance of impropriety, Steve Shaw should be replaced. It just looks bad. Add to that the seemingly unending series of calls that goes Bama's way, and a conspiracy theory is born. There are some things that cannot be defended:

1. Bama's OL gets away with more holding than any other team in football - college or pro. Whole seasons have gone by with zero holding calls.

2. Calls against the Bama sideline ALWAYS go their way - Peterson Non-INT, non-foul PF call last week, etc....

3. Bama DLs allowed to grab and hold OL all game. Even the announcers pointed this out.

4. There are very questionable spots of the ball after critical plays in Bama games. The Gumps always get the favorable spot and the other team mysteriously gets 3rd and 1 a lot.

I could keep going with more examples, but I'm getting bored..

Look nitpicking little stuff isn't the issue here, it's 100,000 people seeing a blatant hold on the game's biggest play.

They highlighted the hold on national television. So, millions saw it!

Two obvious calls they missed were the holding call on the TD run

I agree with you here.

Disagree here. I was at the game and couldn't really tell from the replay they showed in stadium, but I texted a buddy who was watching it at home and he said Hurts' knee was clearly down.

It's ticky tack calls that keep drives alive and also work to fatigue a defense—think about that too
