What if Sumlin gave up on Kyle Allen after his first start?

Always thought it was ashame that Harris' options were to either play well on the road against a top 5 team during his first career start....

....or play poorly and have the guy who played poorly against New Mexico State go back in for the rest of the year.

eh well.... blah blah composure blah blah

Wasn't Kenny Hill suspended for both of those games?

Allen has been ther almost a year. He understands the Aggies offense much better than Harris knows the Tiger offense.bsee Harris in title game vs Acadiana.

With Kenny Trill suspended I guess he thought roll with Allen again or give Speedy a shot at Qb1.

Yep. The only reason Allen played was because Sumlin didn't have a choice. But Rantards never let facts get in the way.

Read Saban's post game comments. He said LSU (and Bama) have old school mentality with 70s philosophy. Spread offense has made that system obsolete. As long as Miles stays with that system he does not need a QB better than AJ.

I am in no way propping up Sumlin, just making a shocker headline to draw people in to realize what I'm really poking at here, Miles not giving Harris a shot after giving him his first start.

That doesn't prove your original point though.

Except it will, because now he has the choice and you know who he's going to choose.

Miles is judging Harris off of 1 half and wont let him get another chance. Despite us having possibly the worst QB he's ever had here.

Harris couldn't even call the plays in the huddle at auburn. Why can't yall understand he isn't ready yet?

Then that goes on the coaches not preparing a player. Get him the playbook he can utilize because he has a massive talent advantage over the current guy who cant get it done at all.

How is our QB situation so often such a clusterfrick? That goes on the coaches after a while.

And Harris has looked fine in a handful of other games, why does he continually get judged ONLY in the Auburn game. It's like you, and the coaches, want to forget this guy led 8 straight drives for TDs at one point this year.

This is a valid point. Harris was an early enrollee like Allen. Even if Allen got his chance because Hill was suspended, at least you can see how he has improved with more playing time--no reason the same would not apply to Harris.

Hill lost a game 59-0 then got suspended. Jennings has been bad but the situations aren't similar.
