What happens if we don't get the fumble at the 5 yd. line?

I know we've listed all the breaks that should have gone LSU's way, but if we don't get that lucky break at that point, weren't we facing overtime anyway? That is, unless Chavis would have done his famous prevent-for-last-drives campaign and allowed bama to get within field goal distance which would could have very well happened. I think we probably end up in OT anyway and would have likely seen a similar scenario to what we saw in OT Saturday night. I don't see us having been able to drive the ball in the end zone against Bama in OT, but I can easily see them doing to us just like they did.
