MUCH more of a contest between Hester and Keiland, only slightly between Scott and him
Except the Kentucky game where we lost because we gave Scott's carries to Hester in the 2nd half and 2 OTs even though Scott was averaging like 10 yards a carry.

Played against him and Richard Murphy in highschool. Scott was a beast that was damn near impossible to stop head on.

AGREED that was a catastrophe, Scott was steamrolling UK. But the original question was between Scott and KW, not Scott and Hester.
Edit: to clarify, the "him" I was referring to was KW, not Hester. Im saying there was nowhere near the controversy of Scott vs. KW, as there was Scott OR KW vs. Hester.

He was drafted by Phi in the 6th rd
Then was traded which trigged a lawsuit by the NFLPA. Settlement was not disclosed but it was reported he got paid in full.

True, but Ridley was better than any of them.

He was also a beast against Kentucky in 2007....until Les inexplicably decided to stop feeding him the ball until the last playboy the game when everyone knew what was coming.

Keiland had ball security issues early on at LSU. Miles doesn't care how talented you are you better not turnover his football as coaches should be.
Football coaches should also adjust game plans and attempt to give their teams the best chances to win. This is probably more important of coaching trait then spending your time teaching them about fumbles. I believe they can learn about rather quickly.

Unless you are Stephe Ridley and turn the ball over twice against UNC and having to survive two dropped passes by UNC in the end to win the game because of it.
More fumble by the way than Kieland ever lost in an actual game

Charles had about 150yds in the 1st half vs Kentucky, then maybe 2 carries the rest of the way(2nd half+OT+OT).
Then comes 4th down in the 2nd OT, Les lets him get a carry and he was stopped.

Ridley was the most dependable back we had that year. Despite the two fumbles in that game the rest of the year proved how valuable he was. The fumbles that game did not cost us in the end. CLM is usually strict about fumbles. Ridley was too valuable to take out of the game. Obviously the coaches felt there was too much drop off from him and the other backs at the time.

True. But I can understand the hatred toward fumbles. I have seen countless times games where the coaches did adjust their game plans and put their teams in the best positions to win to still have it all derailed by key turnovers. Marty Schottenheimer and Cleveland Brown nation had to endure that infamous fumble by Byars that cost them an AFC title back in the day. And Byars was one of the best backs of his era. One example among thousands in the history of CFB and NFL.
