DLine depth. Number 1 issue for this team. And there's really not a fix for it unfortunately.

Agree. I can't ever recall a team with such low scholarship numbers on the defensive line. Losing three defensive tackles and a projected starter at defensive end hurt the depth, but not much could be done about that. Any word on when Washington will be healthy? We could use him.

Steele has been good. Fatigue has been the main issue in the 2nd half, sloppy tackling. In the latest game the defense was hurt by penalties and a dropped interception that extended drives.

Keep in mind the special teams was atrocious and did us no favors all game long.. and early on he still had the team defend well against horrible field position..

held them to what 3 points in the 1st half? or was it 6?

i am very happy with Steele

Could be him not making adjustments but honestly it's easy to see dline depth is a big issue too...

3rd second half melt down in a row. I thought against Miss State that it was fatigue. Now I am very concerned. It is not a "third and Chavis". It looks more like a "Return of Tepper", a whole bunch of hype but not much substance.

Didn't like it when they announced hiring him. Still can't say he's a top DC.

We need killer instinct. Jamal Adams or Beckwith has to be the leader and close this out.

Beckwith could have sealed IT with an interception that hit him in the hands. 4th and 2 would should have sealed it.

We get a cheap foul called on us and let them go 17 play drive for a TD with a 5TH STRING QB.

WE HAVE TO GET BETTER AT CLOSING!

If say 8 out of 10 on 1-10'scale. Cuse better than I thought. We gave up some big plays but this day an age of we hold teams under 300 were ok. Especially when fournette can almost match that on the ground.

Our depth seems to be a factor as the game progresses. Im worried when we play a big time pass attack we get torched. Right this second ole miss is a tough matchup for us. Have a lot of time for our young guys to improve though.

No, not even close to that. I'm only concerned about Nov, but that's a lot of time for improvement

D got fatigued because the offense kept getting screwed. Not a long term problem. FWIW that was the worst screwing I have ever seen.

We need to shore up the DL, get a better rotation.

Yeah, I guess they have tried other combinations but it looks like we stick with a "team A" and "team B" approach. Would like to see what it would look like to have Teuhema, Godchaux, Herron, and Key in on obvious passing downs. Neal and Lacouture just don't seem to be explosive enough for a great pass rush out of the front 4.

The defense is very well-coached. They are in great position.

I wasn't supportive of Steele coming in. That said I think the DL has been better than I expected.

The DB's the talent is there. That is plain to see. But have given up more passing yards and passing TDs than I would have guessed.

Have to believe it's fixable with the talent there.

All in all keeping in mind my apprehension at the outset, I think overall he has been better than I thought

Think he's about as good as Chavis. I mean it's the same scheme. I have no problem letting a team make sma gains when up 17 to eat clock

The Auburn game we played a lot of players in the second half and that game was never in doubt.

The State game the players were gassed and Dak starting playing really well.

Today they didn't look focused and we made some dumb penalties that kept SU drives alive.
