And what is the line that defines the new coach a bad or good hire.

Same as last yr if JJ is qb. If Mett is qb, I expect him to be able to look off at least to his second receiver.

Im looking for some ball control. Hold the ball for a 6 minute drive in the 3rd to kill time and help end the game. I want to see us power over 3rd and 1 like we used to. More of the PA that showed great success @ the CB

That, sir and great defense is what wins championships. Control the game. I wonder what Auburn's passing offense ranked last year.

LSU's offense has been pretty rough, at times, during the past 2 years. So this coming year I guess the one thing I'm looking for is consistency. I'm not expecting 45 ppg, but I am expecting to never experience LSU putting up 35 one week, only to struggle immensely the next.

1) Touchdowns

2) Touchdowns

3) Touchdowns

4) More touchdowns than the other team.

if Les does what he did this year.....8+ wins!

To look like an actual offensive scheme not some sort of chinese fire drill. To score td's when we get in the redzone. To get out of the bottom 50 of offensive rankings.

Progress. Does the new offense, as with Chavis' D in his first & second years, progress? If Krag can show progression of players & scheme, then I will consider this to be a good hire.

average over 240 yards passing per game. Average over 150 rushing per game. Score 4 tds per game.

have more than 7 td passes at the end of the year.

Be able to run and throw equally when needed.

Why. We could put up 60 vs ULM or someone of that sort, then play a top flight SEC school the next week and struggle greatly, even with a good offense.

This. Tossing more than 7 TDs, or whatever low number we threw last season. That was embarrassing.

I want more than just wins...I want us to look like we know what the frick we're doing, instead of looking like we lucked into winning games. I want convincing victories, not nail biters, especially over inferior competition.

Ahhh, the wisdom of LSU fans. Rather look good and lose than look bad and win.

Way to cherry pick my post.

I want to win, AND look composed and competent while doing it. It's called striving for excellence. There's always room for improvement in everything you do.

If 11 wins, and not getting any better is cool, why bother getting rid of Crowton? frick it, I guess being ranked 90th in offense, and struggling against in state competition, is good enough.

Smashmouth, better qb play, and some semblance of an identity or plan from game to game.

Honest question... since all you say is wins do you believe Crowton should have been retained since LSU won 11 games last season with his offense?
