We go thru this with every OC. Are you naive enought to think Miles doens't dictate the offence? We cold have Sean Payton as OC & we wold run this 1965 Michigan offence.

You know I often wonder. Is the O all on Cam or how much Les has to do with it.After watching the game Thursday I really see no improvement in Jennings now from the end of last year.Hell if we just wanted to hand the ball off and throw a 2 yard pass every now and then we could have let Magee be the QB.

Our offense underachieved before cameron and will underachieve after him.
The common link is Miles.
Playing O-line in college has given him the misguided belief that he is qualified as an offensive expert/coach.
Defense has done well generally because he stays out and doesnt have the first clue.

Not the problem.

But I do think LSU could save a lot of money and just not have an OC. Maybe a graduate assistant.

You run the offense your personelle can run. Did y'all drink away the memory if the offense with Mett/OBJ/Hill?

I thought I read on here part of Cam's agreement to come here is that Les stays out of the offense. If not, then will Cam be a gonner sooner than later because "his offense" sucks and it is making him look bad and it's frustrating, or does he just get his paycheck and figure "frick it, I will do what I can and then sit back and watch this clusterfrick"?

Which is the frustrating part with the talent. No creativity or imagination.

This doesn't fit their agenda.

The talent is the RB corps and the Oline. WR are ok...struggle to get open a lot. Not that the QB could make the throws anyways.

You have to be kidding me. Mett, Hill, OBJ, Landry are all NFL starters as rookies and LSU was 33rd CFB in total offense.

I think the problem lies in the game planning. Maybe Les picks the plays that they will have available for the game and Cam just works with the plays he is given. Being that we are on our 3rd OC and it is the same offense, it has to be Les.

It's not that I disagree with your statement, but just can't understand why an experienced OC such as Cam accepts it while it's obvious that Miles' "philosophy" has many disadvantages.

I think that is the point. You have no less than 4 of 11 players on the O making an impact as a rookie, yet you finish 35th.

Look at the teams who finished above us. Would that make them overachievers or better coached teams since they didnt have the players we had?

The only thing missing from the brilliance is a "your stupid" comment.

BTW SP did have his offensive play calling duties taken away while with the NYGs.
