Here are some numbers in coordination to who they played.

Western Kentucky is known for its passing which shows in their Rushing stats as they are ranked #109 in Rushing Offense averaging 32 carries per game @ 3.96 YPC = 128 yards per game.

They have thrown for under 400 yards one time in 7 games against Vanderbilt in the season opener.

Pass Defenses they have played Rank/Average/Allowed WKU

Vandy #64 / 223avg / 209
La Tech #105 / 263avg / 441
Indiana #126 / 334avg / 484
M-Ohio #97 / 252avg / 464
Rice #109 / 278avg / 424
Mid Tenn #99 / 255avg / 428
N Texas #120 / 308avg / 400

(I understand WKU's passing yards have inflated the opp's averages but they would still not be ranked much higher)

They have 5 player with over 24 catches on the season, one of which is TE

Taywan Taylor - 45/ 825/ 18.3
Nicholas Norris - 25/ 464/ 18.3
Tyler Higbee - 31/ 463/ 14.9
J Dangerfield - 42/ 460/ 11.0
Antwane Grant - 24/ 283/ 11.8

They currently have the 103rd Ranked total defense allowing 438 yards per game

They can very well put up some numbers but at the end of the day LSU's talent will out man and out last any chance of an upset. LSU big with Fournette sitting out the 4th Qrt.

SIDE NOTE: They have only allowed 8 sacks this season, Look for our Dline to change that drastically

For anyone who doesnt want to read it, Basically they have played bottom of the barrel passing defenses and do not have much of a running game or defense themselves.

Sounds like a bunch of quick timing routes. Dline won't necessarily have time to get there. Might bat down some balls though.

Yea they run a Spread, and yea it looks like they will rely on quick passes, but that just means to send Debo up the middle and get the QB scrambling

And batted balls tend to make a qb put more air under the ball anD that can throw off timing and lead to interceptions

This is probably the most impressive stat to me. Should be a much needed positioning and assignment test for our secondary

Yea, I'm going to watch their Vandy game tomorrow and see whatVandy did to hold them to 209. Also with the TE at 32 ccatches the Linebackers will have to play better coverage

Then why don't you eliminate them?

I see him listed at 6'3. Are you thinking of the 6'7 qb from Memphis?

Eta: He is at -58 rushing yards on the season, no threat of a run

No. I am thinking of the WKU QB I have seen play very impressively the last two seasons.
I do watch College ball outside of LSU only.

At 6'3 (which is probably listed a little high) I wouldn't say it was impossible to bat down his balls, especially if they are quick slants. I didn't mean to offend you with the last comment but for some reason I was thinking this kid was Mett sized.
