Oh my, this is a very scary thought. Welter is going to need to play the game of his life.
Can he?

This is doubtful. I would almost rather see Beckwith getting substantial playing time.

What about the Freak....got whipped all night by a 260lb kid. Had "1" tackle!

He really should return for his senior season.

The way the Freak played last night, he needs a new name. Maybe Skippy!

Beckwith is more valuable at 3rd string defensive end on the bench.

Exactly!!!

Welter hasn't had a good season by any means and I think its clear that he will never be the answer at MLB. However, IMO he gets way more of the blame on this board than he deserves. LSU's D-line is horrible (the worst in at least 10+ years, probably longer) and all the problems on defense filter back from their poor play. "Freak" is always good for ONE good play a game, followed by a stupid dance and a disappearing act for the rest of the game. For someone who was supposed to be the next Lavilais, Williams, Dorsey, Brockers, etc, I haven't seen anything in 3 years that leads me to believe he'll live up to that hype.

must have been the one where no one blocked him at all. Then he got up dancing. How lame was that? He's about 8 sacks away from deserving to dance.

Well, I got news for you. Lamar Louis did not look any better last night... who's next?

Freak too busy running his mouth on the sidelines with his helmet off. I first noticed this while watching the big cat drills. He's just concerned with havin' fun.

Hunter and Q. Thomas seem to be the most productive DL right now.
