I'm officially ready for football season. Holy cow I forgot how good Jacob Hester was

Hearing Dan Borne's voice makes me want to be in the stadium so bad.

True, but the guy I'm drafting off of that team for 2015 is Matt Flynn. Man, would LSUBbe set up if they had him.

Onions!

ESPN Go stopped working in the 4th quarter so I pulled the rest of the game up on youtube.

CBS top 10 graphic did not include Alabama.

Miles was the Mad Hatter.

Neck, loud.

Good days.

ETA: oh and Tebow cried.

Damn. Has that already been eight years ago?

Still in the future ... Pelini to Nebraska, then Maleveto in 2008.

Chavis then arrived and for the most part, we were happy.

Looking back on it ... I wonder how Chavis's prevent would have done against that last Florida possession?

You left out another huge development, though.

Late Spring of 2008 - Ryan Perrilloux kicked off the team.

LSU paid for RP's stupidity for years to come.

I don't think LSU is any better in 2008 or 2009 even with RP....

Are you serious?

Hatch was not an SEC caliber QB, not even close.

Jarrett Lee was not ready, and throwing him to the wolves in 2008 basically destroyed his career.

Rp was good. I dont know how much he played in that UF game but i watched the VA tech game last night and RP looked real good every time he came in.

Every time he went in Gary would comment on how ballsy it was of Miles to trust him. Crazy.

I still say there should be a statue of him diving over the goal line.

Not sure TS has ever been any better than when they announced the score of the Stanford/SC game. EVERYONE was on the same page...LSU players, coaches and fans and even the UF team. Was as that game and got goosebumps again watching that part this morning.

Lesticles won that game. We haven't seen him much lately. The conservative Miles we've seen since 1/9 would have lost that game. So many 4th down conversions in that game.

I think we are vastly different. Hatch??? Really? Felt bad for the kid but he was a joke as an SEC quarterback. One hit at Auburn and he was done.

Lee wasn't ready and being thrown into the fire like that destroyed the kid for good. Don't know if he could have developed differently under other circumstances but in my opinion, he was serviceable at best.

I think with RP LSU comes close to repeating and allows good QB development of Lee and Jefferson.

Of course we'll never know.
