The tourney is only important if we lose 2 out of 3 or get swept this weekend.

Winning 2 of 3 this weekend was going to be pretty difficult to begin with and now seems very unlikely. So it would seem that CPM made the right call since we will likely have to win the SECT in order to be considered a top 8 national seed.

If we lose 2 of 3 and finish 5th or worse in the SEC, we won't get a national seed no matter how the SECT goes.

They asked coach before the game on TV. He knew the weather was coming. He said if he pitched him any other day he wouldn`t be able to pitch Lange until next Friday.

Sweeping was the only way to even possibly get a national seed. Win 2/3 and we still may have had to win at least one in Hoover to even host. This weekend is so much more important than the tourney.

You could see at 3:00 what was coming. Not sure what radar you were looking at.

That tells me that CPM was expecting to get his arse kicked this weekend and was putting his hosting hopes on Hoover.

Meaning he's putting more weight on the SECT than this series. Which is odd.

If he held Lange until today or tomorrow then he wouldn't be able to pitch game 1 of the SECT and most fans on the Rant would have killed CPM for being so stupid

When was the last time LSU's ace pitched game 1 of the SEC tournament?

Well of course he is. The SECT is Paul Mainieri's pride and joy. He sure doesn't have an Omaha record worth bragging about.

That was an odd post. Most people don't like PM trying to win the SECT instead of getting his pitching ready for the NCAAT.

No. Forecast had a chance a rain beginning at 9 p.m. That fricker came out of nowhere last night.

Pop up showers and lightning in the area started around 4:45.

No it didn't. The forecasters predicted showers popping up ahead of the front right at game time.

No disrespect, but I have no idea what you were looking at. When I looked at 3, it had 100% thunderstorms on weatherbug app starting at 7 pm yesterday.

That's just not true.

I watched both BR TV channels 5 o'clock weather reports, and they both showed no rain or lightening within 70 miles of Baton Rouge. Both of them said rain was going to hold off hitting BR until around 10 pm.

The closest rain at that time was still west of Lafayette.

The mesa cyclone that developed to the south west of BR and moved over the city was NOT predicted as of 5:15 pm.

If it was so apparent that the storm was going to hit BR earlier than it did, why did Florida also start their #1 pitcher?

You continue to lie in your never ending vendetta against LSU baseball coaches. At least other posters are starting to see what I've been seeing for a couple of years....

I heard with my own ears a meteorologist predict showers ahead of the line of weather at game time. That same meteorologist said last night would be bad and tonight would be fine.

Because Florida has 3 aces and the best bullpen in the country. It makes sense to put Shore up against Lange. If they waste him it's no skin off their back.

And in your delusional mind you believe 'showers' is the same thing as an unforeseen mesa cyclone?

You've already posted that you heard the forecast for rain in the MORNING on the radio. I saw the radar and heard the forecast as of 5:15 pm. We had the all clear at that point to play and get the game in.
