their roster was young this year

Plenty of seniors on the starting 22

Valid point however

Only if Nick leaves. Regardless Goofy finds a way to blow it. 6 in a row.

They lost their WRs in Cooper and White. Lost 2 OL in Koundjiao and Shepard. Replaced Sims as QB. Yeldon and Vogler were starters in name only.

So, they lost Cooper and White, who accounted for 20 receiving touchdowns.

They lost their starting quarterback, who threw for 28 passing touchdowns.

And they lost Yeldon, who was only a starter in "name only", who still rushed for 11 TD's.

Yep, you're right. They didn't really lose much.

I should win the lottery. We will match up pretty well personnel wise, but thats not going to be the best factor to base a prediction on. If we use the same game plan we will get the same result. Just a hunch, but i'm guessing Miles will try to run right at them. And try, and try, and try ........

Are you really arguing that the bell cow in the 2015 season wasn't Henry?

And they transitioned to a run first team, with a stacked defense. Kind of how we won the NC in 2007 and got to the NC in 2012. So what is your point? Their defense will lost a lot this year, especially up front. If we employ a run first offense against them, it will definitely be more successful than it has the past couple of seasons.

Don't matter who stays or goes for Bama. We still got Les and they still have Saban.

Yeldon got 22 more carries than Henry last season.

Yeldon also had more all-purpose yards.

I wish we could dominate a game against Bama like they can with us in some of these games. This one I'm sure will go down to the wire

They will also probably lose Burton Burns to retirement, Kirby Smart to a different job, and Lane Kiffin might get a job as well. Replacing all those loses both players and personnel will be tough.

We have a shot even with Miles. If he loses again though that will be it.

Yeah, their biggest concern is staff turnover.

The most important person on that squad is still back and he is Les Miles Daddy! His nam is Nick national champion Saban. Get it?

It doesn't matter if we lose to Bama next year, we still have our wacky, zany great family man at head coach. That is worth more than championships.

This year they had an evident advantage in talent. Next year it's not unreasonable to think that we'll have that same edge.

Do you realize they have pulled the rivals #1 recruiting class 4 of the last 5 years (were #2 the year they weren't #1). We won't have a talent advantage. They may have more new starters next season than we have but that doesn't mean we have a talent advantage.

If you look at the depth chart of Alabama and the anticipated early departures, their roster will be very young.

The last time Alabama was in that position was after they beat us in the title game. That following year was a rebuilding year. They won another title.
Youth is one thing but player development is another and that is where we struggle more on.
Alabama may very well struggle but make no mistake that team will progress throughout the season and will be a contender for the playoffs or at least a major bowl game.
