We Settled For Mediocrity

While I, like of other Tiger Fans like Les as a person, I think LSU can do better for a coach. Last night LSU made a loud statement that we are now satisfied to be on a level with MSU, Ole Miss, Auburn as being satisfied with chasing Alabama. We are now, seemingly, satisfied with 8-5 or 9-3. Even Les stopped short of saying had not the first game been washed out that with a bowl game they could... and he stopped short of saying 10 wins. Well 10 aint enough. Why settle for being like Vandy or Kentucky and be satisfied with a "Good Season" full of sub par play. If he retains Cameron and does not hire a new OC it will be a loud statement that he is the Same Ole Les. Satisfied with Big 10 style of football and 9 or 10 wins...I for one think we could do better.

I lowered my expectations about 2-3 games ago... less stressful. It will be hard for me to swallow any hype in the future.

5-7 the last two seasons is less than mediocre.
Absolutely zero ability to develop a qb and run a post 1980 offense.

Not so much a comparison on results just that they would be grateful for what we have...Dumbass
We are not Vandy nor Kentucky but by what happened last night we are now settling for what they would be glad to have. LSU deserves better and we will find out a lot about the future by what happens to Cameron and if there is a new OC next year. Now flame away...
OH...and not obsessed with Alabama just another comparison...but no matter how you look at we and the rest of the SEC are chasing them. If you like runnin with the pack fine....I like to lead and win.

We had a big fish hooked and it got off. You can't get rid of a coach like Les without having a big name replacement lined up. See Texas, Nebraska .....in the end Alleva did the right thing, but what a mess he created with the leak.

I think it became really obvious the program does not have the leadership from the top down to compete at a championship level, but maybe that's not really the goal anymore.

If 49 wins in 5 years is mediocrity, Saban's tenure was mediocre.
And let's not forget that one of Saban's SEC title teams went 5-3 in league play.
Not suggesting there is not room for improvement, I'm not happy with losing 3 by any means, especially not in the manner in which we lost. But you have a different definition of mediocrity than I.

This sums it up perfectly. We scream to honor Miles and the Administration and boosters get scared and make a emotional decision. I am sorry this team needs a change from the top and now it seems that change should come from AD as well. Settled is what we did...

Apparently the LSU Administration doesn't have the stones to dismiss Les. Sounds like a school from the SEC East. Might as well rename Baton Rouge "Athens." We've become UGa.
