Why even ask that? Yes, my entire outlook would change if I could see into the future.

Can't say I disagree! Besides, A&M at home looks like a better chance to win as opposed to Bama on the road.

NOBODY IS SAYING WE SHOULD PURPOSEFULLY LOSE TO ALABAMA.

If LSU goes undefeated, then none of this matters. If LSU loses 2 games, then none of this matters. The only way this discussion matters at all is if LSU finishes the season with 1 loss. So the only question you need to ask is, between playing Texas A&M at home and playing Alabama in Tuscaloosa, which of those games are we more likely to lose.

If you answered that we're more likely to lose to Alabama in Tuscaloosa, then you should want Alabama to lose this weekend.

If you answered that we're more likely to lose to Texas A&M at home, then you should root for Texas A&M to lose this weekend, and also, you should immediately give power of attorney to someone you trust and let them handle all your major life decisions because it turns out you're a moron.

This thread is ridiculous.

Let me make sure I understand.

We have one team that has owned us 4 straight that we have to travel to play facing off against a team we have owned 4 straight who is coming to our house.

One is the conference favorite - one acts like 3rd in the west is the national championship.

How in the frick can we not want bama out?

Explain to me why

Ark at home
OM at OM
TAMU at home

is more difficult than

Bama at Bama
Ark at home
OM at OM

You are simply trading TAMA at home for Bama at Bama; a team we match up well against for one not so much.

Dude do yall even see the problem with what yall are saying?

There really is no problem

quote:

In one hand yall are saying Bama is going to be the hardest game of this stretch so we should have a cushion to lose it

Bama has been the hardest game for us every year since 2009

quote:

and in the other saying we will need to beat the TWO TEAMS THAT BEAT THEM in the most grueling part of our schedule after a demoralizing loss to a Bama team that is more than beatable.

TAMU beat Bama close in 2012, we beat TAMU close in 2012, we lost to Bama close in 2012, Bama went 13-1, won the SEC and the NC.

Ole Miss beat Bama in 2014 close, we beat Ole Miss in 2014 close, we lost to Bama close in 2014, Bama went 12-2, won the SEC and played in the CFP.

quote:

I would much rather beat bama and have a cushion in the last 3 games.

I'd much rather have that cushion against Bama cuz I'd rather they be out of the race right now. We have shown whether we were good or bad, whether they were on the road, or we were at home, that we could beat teams that beat Bama.

Didn't read all, but imo best case is aTm gives LSU away opp Bama and OM each another loss. Then you have aTm and Arky dealing with Death Valley mojo.
Seems pretty logical.

I could accept losing the rest of our SEC schedule if the trade were a humiliation of Bama.

You are wrong, Bama is the media darling and with 1 loss assuming we beat them and win out, we will face Bama in the BCS series. In my opinion we do not want to face BAMA twice again

Now assuming we win out, A&M with 1 loss will not make the final cut for the BCS series and a 2 loss BAMA team will not either.

If we lose 1 game we are out if BAMA has 1 loss

A&M has a chance to lose more SEC West games

Do you know how winning works ? If LSU takes care of business,it doesn't matter what A&M or Ala. does this week-end or next. We win ,It's ours !Simple !
