With the upcoming coaching changes coming here shortly, I have a huge fear of us losing Aranda. This guy has been an absolutely defensive wizard this year and it is only year one. Whether it is Jimbo, Coach O, Fedora, or Herman which is probably a slim shot due to Texas, there needs to be a deal where Aranda stays.. LSU needs to give Aranda whatever it takes to keep him here, I know he already make 1.3 million but if he ask for a raise he should get one. Whichever HC we hire needs to retain him or there should be an agreement that Aranda stays.. I for one would hope a coach coming in wouldnt can him after seeing what he has done this year.

This is no secret. He will get attention from many other teams though...

I dont see him going anywhere. He signed a special contract for a reason. Theres is really no other place to go up from here unless he jumps to the nfl. He gets to coach arguably the best talent in the nation. Does he have ties to anyone that is a head coach?

They only problem is that he probably has more potential to be a great head coach than all the people on your list... He won't stay long if he out qualifies his boss..

That special contract also says he can leave for a HC position if offered.

I think he has to build his brand at LSU more before universities start offering.

I just think hes outspoken enough to be HC (yet). He carries himself more like Matt Patricia (DC for Patriots). He's a defensive wizard and I believe he will most likely jump to the NFL when the opportunity is right.

Tom Herman is a close friend and he will have Texas' unlimited bank account.

It is scary.

He might if CEO is made head coach and is eventually fired because the offense is never fixed (but the defense stays at a high level).

Everything this guy touches becomes successful.

Booger McFarland said he is the best defensive coordinator in the country and also commented on marked improvements in players thanks to Aranda.

Unlike Kirby Smart, Aranda can take full credit in his abilities and accomplishments.

I like Aranda to be the head coach because I think he will remain highly involved in the fundamental teachings of his players.

I also like his personality, the strong humble type that lets his results do the talking and doesn't try to overstep his superiors.
