We are half a game out of first place in the toughest conference in the country. Obviously this walks thing isn't hurting us.

So our #2 pitcher with a little bit better of an ERA and one more win is really good too. Poche is still our #1.

ETA: Also, it's crunch time right now and Lange is declining while Poche is only getting better.

Poche is the more reliable pitcher right now. I hope Lange pulls it together.

I agree with this. I just don't think Poche nor Lange are ace pitchers. Lange will be next yr. Poche is a tough competitor but he doesn't have dominating out pitches like a typical ace would. Lange has been more dominant this year than Poche he has just had 2 shaky starts in his last two games.

Actually, We are leaving too many runners on base, but LSU is still winning.

I accept base on balls as just being a part of the game. And being in the upper 25% of the country speaks for itself, especially when you consider the quality of LSU's competition. What does frustrate me, though, is it seems a lot of the walks come with 2 out or with the batter being the first one a reliever faces in an inning. Nola & our other aces in the past have spoiled us with so many 3 & out innings. Considering the youth of our staff, facing SEC batters week in & week out, I am satisfied.
