is favored to win the West. So, in order for our Tigers to get back to Atlanta we certainly have to beat 'Bama. Who else does Bama lose to that gets us back to the SEC CG?

Predictions??????

Bama Loses to Arkansas, LSU & Auburn (gets the spoiler at season's end and punches LSU's ticket to Atlanta).

Let me hear ya'

well alabama could lose those games but i doubt. I would be more worried about LSU taking care of business than who Alabama is going to lose to. if LSU takes care of business then you won't need to pray for alabama to drop games.

How about we don't lose or we lose once to anyone but Bama...that way we control our own destiny? We would then own the tie breaker.

I think the Arkansas game is a trap game for Bama. They have a whole new defense coming back and, despite what some may say, just because Saban is there doesn't mean you can replace 9 starters and not have a serious drop-off. Meanwhile, Petrino and Mallet have everyone back on offense.

Florida could be tough for Bama too, though Florida has its share of question marks too.

I don't see Bama losing to Auburn.

If we can get decent OL play and better interior DL play, I'd say we have a chance to beat Bama too.

I don't think Bama matches up well with Ark. That one may not end well for the Tide.

Not sure about Florida until we see just what Brantley can do.

I predict Bama going 5-3 in SEC play.

both arky and uf should give bama's weak secondary fits. these are the only two teams that i see beating them this year.

The only way LSU beats Bama is if the tide makes enough mistakes to hand the game away (which could possibly happen). Also, it's absurd to be looking ahead to Bama when there's 2 or 3 games LSU is likely to lose before facing them. The only game that matters right now is the first one.

This assumes their qb's will have time enough to expose Bama's inexperienced secondary. I dont know about Brantley but Mallet isnt very accurate from the supine position.

it's just that, those two teams are the only ones bama will face with a pretty good q.b.

11/6 Alabama W This year our Offense is better than their Defense. I also say that we as fans have to do our share in helping TS be the best place where visiting teams to come to die and that is in "Death Valley"!

I do think that LSU has to improve week to week until this game for them to be able to play them head up. Then the game being in Tiger Stadium becomes a game that is winnable in Deat Valley. The ref's has to be neutral and not so much in favor of Bama the way they were last year. LSU has to improve in the line of both offense and defense. This is where the game will be won and lost. Especially in D-line they have to be able to slow down their running game not stop but slow it down. If they do the game becomes very winable

I SAY!

bold predictions

how is 5-3 bold?

Chizik and Kiffin had Mighty Saban on the ropes last yr, and The Hat had the lead going into the 4th qtr.

They lose majority of their starters on defense.

Bama has the target on their back. Complacency will inevitably set in and they will drop some games.

Contrary to the Saban lovers on this board, I just don't see a Bama becoming a dynasty anytime soon. Too much competition.

Mississippi State, Washington, Louisiana Tech, Arkansas, Ole Miss had LSU on the ropes last year. Does that mean anything this season? Does that mean Mississippi State, Arkansas, Ole Miss will beat LSU? What about Vandy? LSU struggled to beat Vanderbilt does that mean Vanderbilt will beat LSU?

So did LSU, I mean LSU returns only 4 starters on defense and only 4 on offense, 5 if you want to count T-Bob.

It could, but I doubt it happens. The Rant was predicting Alabama to struggle last year based on all the new offensive players yet Alabama had players step up who ended up better than those they replaced. Same could be said for defense, even if they take a small step back they are still better than probably 110 teams in the country.

No they won't but they will be just as dominant as LSU/Florida/Georgia all were from 2000-2009 where that led to multiple championships and 10+ wins a season. Maybe a down year every few seasons but nothing like they were prior to Sabans arrival.

I think Tennessee will beat Alabama in Knoxville this year. Remember Tennessee should have beat them in Tuscaloosa last year.

Tennessee will be lucky to win 5 games this year.
