Watson perfect to hit behind deichmann

CPM made the easy choice by protecting deichmann with watson and it paid off. Now just ask yourself, would you pitch around deichmann to get to watson? Before this weekend, i wouldve pitched around deichmann to get to anyone else in the lineup. Now i would be scared shitless to face either of those guys with runners on base

It's not an easy choice when a guy is having a ton of success at a spot in the lineup. It's a lot of pressure moving into that 5 spot. Especially as a freshman.

I thought the same. Figured he was a great fastball hitter who could be speed on the bases while turning the lineup over. Surprised he got fastballs in the zone in the 5 hole tonight.

I think Watson is much better protection for Deichmann than Coomes. Besides, the way Watson is hitting I don't care if they do walk Deichmann. That'll just be one more runner on base for a red hot Watson.
