Where are the TE's and quick throws like the first play to Dupree.. That's where O failed.. Ya he doesn't call plays but he should have pushed that point across early on. That delay release by the TE would have opened up so much. And it was a 3 step drop where Etling could have gotten rid of it. Just because he missed a few u don't get away from it. We should've thrown 70% of the time since the last 5 years we've ran 70% and lost.

I watched it last night for the first time. As bad as our oline played there were still chances. If we had any semblance of a quick shotgun passing game we would've won by 2 TDs. We kept running play-action and giving Etling no time to see anything.

Refs are even worse on replay because you notice all the bullshite you missed the first time around.

Hamas over aggressive D at the point of attack was never exposed

For two straight years. 120 minutes

Saban admitted to doing the exact things as last year

Mind boggling

He said it was a 3-4 scheme with everyone responsible for a gap... hitting those quick slants guarantees you force at least one person to bend and adjust

Now this is mostly on target. He threw some bummer passes, i.e., woefully short. Biggest problem was predictability after awhile and they just teed off on Etling.

SECN had some marginally fair evaluations of Fournette's performance as well...things, even I noticed during the game. Missing open holes by making a wrong choice (excusable), but more importantly not cutting once, then go head down straight for "precious yards". Fourth quarter "dance" that failed to pick-up or get close to the 1st down was best example.

Great running back, but I think time missed this year has hurt his learning curve "at speed".

Where were the jet sweeps to Chark? Or at least the sweep motion to get them guessing. Why were we not running from more open formations like the past few games? 4 wide so that the linebackers have to spread out. Bama thrives by having the front four eat up blocks so that the linebackers clean up everything. Get them out of the middle of the field. Frustrating as hell. It's like everybody clinched the sphincter and went right back to Les Miles philosophy of "let's not lose the game."

I watched again also. We actually got away with pass interference against ridley on Adams' interception. Thomas hooked ridley before the ball got there.

LF missed a lot of opportunities also, he had cut back lanes open on many of his runs that he never saw. Needed to be more patient and I know it's bama but he rushed many of his opportunities. Could have let the blocks develop on many of his attempts and he would have been more successful, I'm talking a second more let them commit then cut back. I was at the game and saw this but when I watched on replay it was there he was just too anxious. Short passing game and Etling was also a big problem, they were just too anxious out there. Rushing everything instead of just performing/executing. I bet they were sick when they watched the film. I also believe they make up for it in the arky game.
