Two positives I saw last night.
1) Reath had 16 rebounds
2) We were 13-13 from the free throw line. First time we were perfect from the FT line in almost 5 years.

The discouraging thing about this is it's about right. Based on past performances of this year a 12 point loss at home to a Aggie team that was struggling mightily itself is one of our better ones.
Still, rampant careless turnovers, gave up 50 points in the second half even though the Aggies spent the last 8 minutes largely running as much clock as they could before shooting and getting our brains beat in on the boards again.

This team is just bad and I can assure you I've seen some really bad teams in the 70's. Everything starts with defense and rebounding. It is no different than baseball. It sets the tone for the game. It is nothing but effort.
Guard the perimeter and block out. It's not that hard.

I get a very strong sense that pelican fan "cherry picks" his college teams. Ya know tar heel hoops, LSU Fb, Arkansas track, johns Hopkins lacrosse, etc.. please correct me if I am wrong.

The board says they are awful because they are! Have you looked at the stats? Our defensive stats aren't good enough to be awful.

Pelican, if you are a fan of all the team's at one school that's fine. It's just when people pick different teams from different colleges that grinds my gears.

Kind of like when I meet that Bama fan and the first thing I ask is who is your college hoops team, and the all-too predictable "duke" answer comes. I then proceed to ask them why they aren't a duke Fb and Bama hoop fan? The look on their face is priceless.
