Question for the historians. I'm reminded of that game while watching the Bama-Auburn marathon, which is already past the 6-hour mark. That game 2 years ago went 16 innings and 5:25 of game time, and featured 3 blown saves by the LSU pitching staff before we finally closed it out with 3 runs in the 16th for an 8-5 win. I know that 16 innings has been matched on at least 1 occasion, but has any LSU game ever gone longer? In either innings or game time?

This was in the report after the 2013 game with Alabama that went 16 innings.

The article after the 2015 game that also went 16 innings said that it had happened 3 other times in school history.

Yes, our first game against Florida in the SEC tourney last year was a marathon. I believe that one broke the tournament record for longest game (by time at least), but since the game time was 5:07, Bama 2015 still has it beat at 5:25.
