You guys need to make an effort to go see this team play, in particular JM. Very impressive player that does it all--rebounds, blocks shots, steals, and not to mention scores. I think he had 25-30 points tonight. He also does it with very little fanfare or bs, just goes to work.

This will be a very good bball team. I'm thinking they could be 3rd in the SEC, possibly 2nd if they catch some breaks. They will give good teams lots of trouble at a minimum.

Mickey is good, with tons of potential. Still plays tentative at times with his youth. The rest of the team is just average, especially tonight. They need some killer instinct if they want to make a run...

It's great to see one of the front court players step up the way Mickey has. Now if the rest of the guys can find their roles around him it could be quite a successful season.

The rest of the team isnt average. The team has plenty of good players. Id even say they are deeper than any team we have had in a long time. We dont have any guys on scholarship that dont belong on scholarship. Mickey,Martin,JOB3,Stringer,Hickey,Coleman are all good. Morgan, Odo, Malone, and Tq are also better than average. The team hasn't gelled yet and the staff is still trying to figure out the best line ups that will limit our up and down play.

He wasn't as hyped as Martin, but if you watched him play in some of his HS games you could see this coming. He was very impressive in the "prep school" playoffs.

I think he's the one that may end up being one and done.

Mickey will only get better as the year goes on. With all the talent in the SEC, he's the one leading the league in blocks. The game tonight could have been a big blowout but Coach Jones called off the dogs to try and get other lineups in the game at the end to get pt together IMO. He may have been looking forward to Tuesday when they go to Lubbock.

Mickey's high school competition was much better than martin's also. Martin is a baller though.

He's stilled nicked up. He'll come around. He can hit the outside shot and has a great handle for a big man.

yea, i think its extremely early for people to give up on the kid. He shows some flashes but he is feeling for his spot in this offense. once we start pressing more and running the court we should really see the team take off. I really love how quick of a trigger martin has on his shot

in the half court he is but honestly the whole team has been like that at times this year. Each game they go through periods where they look real tentative. The problem is its happening more than it should. I think if we pressed and put more pressure on teams you would see this teams play become way more consistent. Martin would look excellent in the open court with mickey

we do show signs of how good we can be even in the half court o. It just isn't as consistent as it should be right now

Average? JOB and Hickey are special when they feel like it. They had a 2-week layoff then came back against ULM. They are still gelling as a unit and will continue to get better.

Ppl are way too critical of Martin. He is learning a completely new position and had a bad ankle sprain that hindered him in the beginning.

Martin at this point, is a huge disappointment. He's so passive and has no post game to speak of which is crazy considering he's 6'9"
