Yes. But the ref was trying to avoid the LF7 carnage.

EVERY play could be holding now with the agreed rules. Whether he was or not was whether or not it was called. Sadly it seems to be more preference by refs than consistent ruling.

Nope, was just a dominant block.

Not sure about the hold but SC's no. 21 and 42 had to be issued new jock straps after that play.

Holding inside the shoulder pads is basically legal, as long as the holding is not the specific reason of a severe restriction of movement. The USC guy was clearly getting the life blocked out of him, and tried to rip his arm away. Then Hawkins released. Perfect block

You cant tell from that angle. As a defender, you never offer your shoulder to a block. Once the blocker gets his hands under those pads and lifts up, you cant go anywhere until you are able to free yourself, which he did after Fournette had blown by him. Now, show a video from the side of that play and we will know for sure if he was or wasn't holding.

At the people making shite up trying to say it wasn't a hold..

He had jersey pulled at least 4 inches away from the guy as he was trying to make a play on LF. Wasn't a remotely legal block. Take off the purple and gold glasses. Everyone here would be bitching and posting little gifs of it had that been Bama doing it against us.
