Didn't the dude in the stands give it back to WM, or am I thinking of something else?

Cool. Did the person who caught it give it back or did LSU buy it?

the bat in the HOF is a fake. Some guy has the real bat and he tries to sell it outside the box all the time. I trust him over LSU over who has the real bat.

I think I recall the guy was actually pretty eager to get the ball back to Warren. Warren gave him an autographed bat or something in return.

But it is now deflated to the size of a ping pong ball.

Regardless of who has the actual bat & ball...the LSU Hall of Fame @ Alex Box is quite nice. It's fun reliving the success this program has had.

It's also more realistic than the mythical crap from football. It's hard to go back in time and fabricate titles like some football programs do.

That's my recollection also, the guy gave the ball back to Warren. (certainly could be wrong though)

Will never in my life forget that moment! I was watching the game in Georgia with my mom and we both went nuts running around the house cheering!

Same here, we had a pool party with the kids we "had" to go to so we taped the game to watch after "live".

Got to the party and found we forgot towels so I had to drive home. Got home and the final inning was starting. Though my wife told me not to watch the game I watched it happen and went nuts at home.

Returned to the party, told my wife I hadn't watched it. We went home and right at the final pitch I stood up and said "hit that damn ball outta here" and Warren complied!!! We went nuts running around yelling. My wife initially thought I called the HR but I finally fessed up.

She still loves baseball

The guy gave it back to Warren Morris. Warren gave it to Skip. Can't say with 100% certainty what happened to it after that.

I have Mahtook's 2nd ever HR ball he hit over the scoreboard, Which you could argue is the longest HR in the new box.....(compared Zunino's bomb)

He hit his 1st and 2nd HR in the same game if you remember.
