Ware and the WEIRD-CAT

My friend, a behavior pscychologist, regularly reminds me that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.
Given that premise, what is the chance that LSU discovers a dynamic offense against Alabama in 10 days?
I am hopeful, but don't know where it will come from.
Will LSU find a way to stretch Bama's defense?
I don't know what the Hat has up his sleeve, but is there a chance we see more WEIRD-CAT with Ware?

It is true if the situation remains a constant - when there are other variables it is an unknown that can at times remain the same but cannot be determined with any predictability.
LSU plays differently at home and away. They play up and down against good and bad teams. There is not much that can be predicted this particular season.

Many would consider a great running game (albeit with poor passing) as still being a good offense. The logical ones would agree that the goal is a win and the path doesn't matter.

Can someone explain to me why we don't put Shep or OBJ in motion on the Ware-cat? This gives the option to sweep and bring the play out laterally or fake it and let Ware do his thing up the middle. The way we run it now, it is a short yardage situation only and everyone knows where it is going. The pitch to Ford was a nice misdirection that almost broke a TD. I like the Ware-cat, but I'd just like to see some misdirection added to it to keep the D from knowing exactly where it is going.

We will see the ware-cat vs bans, and I predict a passing option to be shown and hopefully executed with it.

First because it is in no way the wildcat. The wildcat is based on a zone blocking scheme. It also has someone in motion. We do neither. All we are doing is lining up in the Singlewing ala Tebow at Florida and running with the substitute QB.

I expect we will. We've seen Ware run, we've seen him pitch to Ford. We haven't seen him hand off to Shepard on the jet sweep, which is in the play by design (Shep goes in motion). We also have seen Ware throw fairly accurately on a few passes, so we know that might be in the play too. A quick slant to Landry or Beckham on short yard plays at midfield, with the defense cheating in on the runs would be a logical choice, and a good shot at a TD.
Now, my pick would be to run the pass before the jet sweep, to muddle the defense more. Then come back with Shep once you have them on their heels.
Knowing the base offense struggles in the redzone, where things have to be quick into close coverage, and knowing Bama plays like a redzone defense most of the time (they don't think you have the time to run a slow developing play against them, so they don't play back), we might see more Ware QB plays then you'd expect.
Depends on our o-line; Bama will play the run and the quick slant. If Mett has time to look deep consistently, then the line is holding up, and he's ok. If he doesn't, he's at risk for a couple pick-sixes on those slants, and Miles might buy time by playing the Ware offense more, if just to be able to punt and play his own defense in better shape.

Re the motion- there was one play with Ware at QB vs A&M, where I swore I saw Shep fake the jet sweep off motion, coming from left to right. Ware ran off-tackle to the left side. It's not the Wildcat, because he's under center, but he could just pivot and handoff like a regular QB. It would be a pre-designed play and not an option, because Ware would be turned around, but it can be done without tipping off before the snap.

I really like this formation. The thing I'll be looking for is can we get a punt play where we are clearly trying to do something different without a penalty.
I can not stand those penalties. We seem to be tricking ourselves more than anything. Unless this is all part of a big plan to fool Bama later

..only if it's Ware in the shotgun, a single back beside him, 1 TE and 3 WRs.
It would definitely stretch them horizontally and remove the 8-9 defenders from inside the box.

I thought ware in the wildcat (outside the 4th down play) was gimmiky and furthermore embarrassing vs a&m.

man, "dynamic offense" must be defined. and offenses aren't "discovered". i'm sure the offense coaches at LSU (defense one also) know every damn offense being used in college football. believe it or not, the coaches have already "discovered" the problem(s) with our offense and are busting arse to solve them. what you and others don't seem to want to believe the problem is not the plan, but the execution of the plan. we have had breakdowns in blocking, running routes, throwing and catching the football. drawing up different and more complex (therefore creative to some on here) ain't the solution. sorry. it is the solution for many video games tho; you know the "games" that elimiante physical execution.
