How in the hell did UGA beat out Penn State...I would have thought Penn State/Michigan could have been the finals.
Also, I hate everything about Bama, but those helmets are a classic.

I for one like Georgia's helmets a lot, maybe second only to ours.
And as far as Penn State, I think some people may still have a sour taste in their mouth from you know...

Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Bama is classics....
If you don't like Penn State then why like Notre Dame (not saying you like ND, just in general)? It's the same thing, but a different color.
As you can tell I'm not a fan of the Oregon's of the world with all those damn uniforms.

My rankings for helmets would be..
1. LSU (for obvious reasons)
2. Michigan
3. Penn State
4. Notre Dame
5. Bama
6. USC
7. Ohio State
8. Miami

This is why these types of things are flawed. Too many people vote for the "team" rather than the actual "helmet."
The best example is Penn State. Yes, a lot of football tradition, but a horrific helmet. Just white with a blue stripe. If that helmet was from Podunk U, everyone would hate it. Notre Dame's helmet is also a dud. Yes, tons of tradition, but the helmet itself, only the helmet, is terribly dull. But I do like the gold. And I'd vote Wyoming's helmet the very worst in the nation.
The real criteria should be colors, striping, and logo. Georgia is among the very best. USC, Michigan State are also very good. I also like Kansas State, Baylor, and FSU. Many other good ones from smaller schools, but this dumb contest is mostly only the major traditional powers, which is confusing.
Other good ones are UNC, SMU, Washington, Washington State, San Jose State, and BYU. UCLA is pretty good too.
