Villanova was the top seed that LSU wanted to draw.

Last two weeks of analyzing matchups and I was hoping Villanova would drop to a 2 seed so we could possibly match up in the same pod with a 10 seed LSU. They have the poorest interior D of the top teams in the tournament and they rely on the three offensively, a very favorable match up for the Tigers.
Advance to the second round and LSU will only be a 4-5 point underdog.

Didn't wanna an 8/9 seed, but gotta love the draw we got.

Nova is definitely the most questionable 1 seed.

With the way they played arkansas west viriginia and Kentucky.... LSU can match up with everyone.

The 10 seed in the South that gets Iowa then Gonzaga.. then Houston in the Sweet 16 would have been an incredible draw to get.

Consideing the other 8/9 matchups and the #1 in the other brackets, yeah I would say we got a great draw.

Going to have to disagree. They are great at two things. Transition and stopping opponents transition. If do the latter forcing LSU to run more half court sets it will be a blowout.

When will people realize it's now about weaker teams it's about matchups. We don't match up well with nova. We match up great with Duke.

We match up EXTREMELY favorably with Villanova.
LSU's strengths: Interior Offense, 3 Point Defense
Villanova's Weaknesses: Interior Defense, 2 Point Offense.
This is based on basketball metrics, not opinion.
We get killed on teams that slash to the rim, and can stop us from getting easy shots inside.
Providence has a very similar skillset as of our team and they pushed Nova to the brink, that was all I needed to see to confirm my belief's
