All year we watched the games at my house and now my bud is having a party at his house. Should I go or keep status quo?

Go and have a good time, and you don't have to clean up a damn thing afterwards.

If the party will have chatty people and you can't listen, hear updates, people are playing flip cup or beer pong during the game, you should probably not go.

If it's a social thing based around a football game, just stay the frick away.

Depends on the people you will be around if you go there, and what matters most to you.

If it's a big game such as this I tend to want to hang with football people. People who are interested in paying close attention to the game and hear what is being said.

In these situations I don't want to be around people who are fair weathered fans, and are more interested in partying while having the game on in the background.

Funny...I can have 92,000 people around me in Tiger Stadium but for games like this, I want to be at home...alone. On the rare ocassion I do have others over, there's the "no stupid question" rule. If you don't know what's happening, what the ref is signaling...either watch somewhere else or don't say anything.

In your case...if there's going to be distractions, stay away.

My wifey knows there is a no question rule during LSU/Saints games. She can ask questions during all the other games I watch. She's come a long way in just this season.

And this is why we no longer watch bowl games at my buddy's house. Last time we saw a game at his house was the Cap One Bowl vs Penn St.

same here, although tomorrow it will be a "no questions period" policy. I have a relative that has invited herself over, which is really going to kill the atmosphere.
