Various Media articles: What was said in Alleva’s meeting with coaches?

Gridiron Now article: What was said in Joe Alleva’s closed-door meeting with Orgeron, Canada and Aranda?
(Chris Landry is a veteran NFL scout who has worked for the Cleveland Browns and the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans. Previously, he ran the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and served as an assistant coach at LSU. Landry is a consultant for multiple NFL teams and major college programs.)
When LSU athletic director Joe Alleva called a closed-door meeting with coach Ed Orgeron, offensive coordinator Matt Canada and defensive coordinator Dave Aranda following the team’s loss to Troy, it was inevitable that details of the meeting would trickle out. Chris Landry shared those details on his latest podcast.
“The coordinators told fellow coaching buddies about what happened in that meeting … (Coaching is) a very close-knit community,” Landry said. “There’s been no shyness about explaining what went on in that meeting.”

Some of Orgeron’s methods and decisions have not looked great, and it was recently reported that LSU AD Joe Alleva has taken to dissecting film with Orgeron on Sundays.
Chris Landry shared the report on the Landry Football Podcast:
“Joe Alleva has taken to going into the office every Sunday and watching film with Ed,” said Landry “And that’s been widely, popularly received by the assistant coaches there…Most athletic directors would never do this because they’re not football people.”
Landry claims he asked legendary coach and current Wisconsin AD Barry Alvarez if he would ever have that type of meeting with a head coach, and Alvarez said no. It certainly is an interesting tactic, and Landy believes Alleva’s move “shows lack of respect for the head coach.”

Hayride article: Just When You Thought LSU Was Climbing Out Of The Football Woods…
…there comes yesterday’s Chris Landry podcast, in which the Louisiana native and former NFL scout, who spent quite a bit of time involved with the LSU football program in the 1980’s and 1990’s, brought out details of the infamous meeting between LSU athletic director Joe Alleva, head football coach Ed Orgeron and offensive and defensive coordinators Matt Canada and Dave Aranda.

What kind of message is LSU AD Joe Alleva sending by sitting in on film sessions with head coach Ed Orgeron?

Gridiron Now article: The rise and fall of LSU football – from the inside
Chris Landry knows the inner workings of LSU football as well as anyone. The story he has to tell about those inner workings in recent years is not a pretty one for Tiger fans.
While the backstory proves fascinating for college football fans in general and LSU fans in particular with wonderfully detailed stories about Les Miles, Nick Saban, Jimmy Sexton, Joe Dean, Skip Bertman and numerous other college sports heavyweights, we’ll pick the story up following Les Miles firing in September of 2016 and LSU’s search for his permanent replacement later that year.
“Ed Orgeron would’ve waited as long as LSU wanted him to wait (to be named head coach),” Landry explains. “No one else was interested in hiring (him). Yes, (LSU) needed to put coordinators together, but there was time for that. Instead, (LSU athletic director) Joe Alleva – EGO – in wanting to announce Ed Orgeron as the coach, and say, ‘we never offered anything to Jimbo Fisher, we never offered anything to Tom Herman’ – which was false and false, they made offers on both – they wanted to announce Ed Orgeron before Texas made their announcement. In essence, ‘yeah, this is who we wanted.’

So 4 more versions of what we already know happened.

Alleva had Landry pulled from his weekly segment on the Culotta and t Bob show...he’s such an embarrassing pussy

I like the multiple sources here.... keep the admins from the anchor.

I am still baffled that he hasn't been fired yet. The only thing I could figure is they didn't want it to "appear" we were firing someone after a single loss to Troy, but now that we've beat Florida that shouldn't be a concern, even if it was an irrational concern to begin with. Pull the plug and move on, everyone in the country knows it is a move that must be made and is completely warranted.
There's no reason he should still be employed at LSU with what has gone down in the last 12-24 months.

104.5 needs to grow a pair, if that is true.
What? Can't say anything negative about the program?
Your demise will be the same Joe.

Me too. Still can’t believe every thread is anchored with all these sources reporting the same thing.

Well, they're still just quoting Landry...who is quoting sources himself.

No disrespect meant, but that's generally how news works, sports or otherwise.

Right. Just pointing out to that guy that this isn't anything new that has come out, just more outlets reporting Landry's story.

I am and I'm not. He has F King doing his work for him. I think a lot of this over the past couple of years is from the F King - some we know of, which leads me to believe there is more that we don't.
Give an incredibly irresponsible buyout to a guy that would have taken the job on pure interim status and isn't qualified? In business, pretty instant firing. I assume F King has the strings on JA and I also assume its political.

Sauces say that Joe took a quote out of Skip’s book when trying to get the most out of his players. Except this time it’s actually true:
“Ed, it’s not your fault for the loss to Troy this year. It’s not your fault. It’s my fault. I never should have hired you as head coach.”

The mafia must have woken. Starting to see some downvotes. Censorship won't be long now.
We'll know for sure if there is inappropriate censorship by admins going on in this thread. Mere links to public articles in OP. No justifiable reason this thread should be censored or anchored.

I thought it was a tad amusing that Hayride cribbed the crib notes.
For the trickle of commentary we see from the media right now, there's a lot more commentary happening in the background, I guarantee. For example, the scathing comments made on College Gameday last Saturday will find their way to print sooner or later. Just waiting for another opening.
Alleva's buyout is about 2 million, right? I never could find an online document to confirm that. Does anyone have a link?

This thread merely linking various news articles is now anchored. LOL. Chicken, you should look into this and remove his/her admin privileges.

With all due respect, This is a huge story! Actually the biggest story of the week (and potentially year)... you don't agree??
I'm sincerely baffled at the attempt to "sweep this under the rug." Why would you or any LSU fan want to censor this? What's the point?
I absolutely appreciate the medium, but if it can't be used to relay the relevant information to the people that care, what are we doing here?
There are things that deserve to be censored, but this is not one of them. Deep down, emotion and ego aside, you know that IMO.
