Here you go morons. Several experts state that being the tourny champs may not be needed to get in. However, playing and beating Vandy (60 RPI) versus a crappy Tenn (136 RPI) is a major blow.

We weren't getting in unless we won the whole thing. It doesn't matter who we play at this point.

LSU has not beaten Tennessee, and from the game less than 3 weeks ago, there's no indication the Tigers will be able to do so today.

If we beat a tourny team and one on the bubble, and even then lose in the final, there was a very good chance that we would be in by knocking out Vandy and lowering our RPI enough.

Now all is lost. A win against Tenn does nothing. Its all about RPI. If we get it under 80 we are in

We have to win the tourney. Getting at-large pick with an RPI in the 80s hasn't happened since at least 2004 (I'm not sure it happened in 2004 but I am sure it has not after).

It was win or bust the whole time

Anything is possible but it would defy at least 11 years of data to get in with an RPI higher than the mid-60s as an at-large

The truth is that LSU had a better chance at getting to the dance by beating Vandy and then TAMU and seeing how that effects their RPI.

We know how it would affect our RPI. It would put it around 78.

78 would be the highest RPI to ever make the field, by a decent margin.

So what was your point again?

You fools who were cheering for Tenn are idiots. Our only real chance at dancing was a win over Vandy and TAMU

So our only real chance was beating Vandy and TAMU, which would have put us in the actual finals of the SEC Tourney with an auto bid on the line.

But we don't have a chance of winning the final?

Solid logic

Upsets never happen in basketball. UK may get beat before we play them.

Winning those 2 would not have put us in.

LSU would have needed almost every bubble team to lose, and every Auto-Bid to go to teams in the field, and we'd still likely be on the outside looking in. Bama winning yesterday puts them ahead of us no matter what.

You are the real idiot. Beating Vandy and A&M still doesn't guarantee LSU an at-large bid.

Having an easier road and actually winning the SECT does give us a guaranteed bid.

Idiots are idiots.

Win and you're in. We can't do anything about the other teams.

They will still be without Punter, it won't be a home game, and it is their 3rd game in 3 days. Not saying we won't lay an egg. But those are 3 decently compelling reasons.

Wait, we have a chance to make the tournament? I didn't know we were telling jokes on the rant these days.
