SIAP

Is there any inside scoop or conventional wisdom as to whether these guys were in a one-game suspension of sorts or whether they are still in the doghouse?

Coach O said that Valentine did not put out the effort during practice.

I suspect that Tolliver is not seeing playing time because he never turned around to loook for the ball. The coaches may be trying to improve him in that area before he plays again.

Coach O said this morning that Valentine wasnt taking practice serious. Sending message to players you must want to practice the process to be a beast.

Competition Tuesday is a mother fricker. Separates the wheat from the chaff.

The chaff rides the bench.

I understand that but don't complain that he needs to get in better game shape and then not play him in the game.

Tolliver was suspended for a half for violating an undisclosed team rule.

I love the message he is saying.

I'm not saying Coach O should be the next coach but this man has come a long way since he was the coach at Ole Miss. He has coached under some hell of coaches in his career.

I want him riding the pine until he gets a few things right:
- Dont get run over
- Be physical
- Go for the ball, this is DBU!
- If you don't go for the ball, at least turn around to find the ball in coverage so you can knock it away.

He does this, he can play again.

Have you seen how much they are running at practice?

Something tells me Valentine doesn't like the extra effort. The kid needs to quit being lazy. He has a lot talent but is way to big and if he doesn't work hard then that talent will be wasted.

I dont understand this kid. He had to go through such a long route to get to play here and now he wants to throw it away by not putting in the effort!!!

Someone around ops all week said that O has Valentine wearing three layers at practice, carrying and drinking gallons of water all day, and eating controlled meals. Correct, he sat for the exact reason that O said in the press conference (something Miles would never do), wasn't good enough in practice and needs the fire under his arse. Hopeful that O can give him that.

As for Toliver, everything has been kept under wraps pretty tightly with his situation

It was a drug test.

Not his first fail either. Which is sad because players are told "you're going to have a drug test on X day"

So is Tolliver done for awhile? I recall that a second failed drug test is more than a one game suspension.

Also very surprised there were no questions regarding KT at yesterdays presser. Media could have been told to not pursue it
