Long time to have a vacancy... Are there any rumors about what is going on?

It seems like the trend in hiring assistant coaches isn't to hire the best coach, but rather to hire someone related to or connected to a big time recruit.

IMO this may help to attract a single recruit, but hiring an excellent assistant might have more impact on a larger number of recruits that just one.

I read Byron Scott, former LA Lakers coach, needs a job.

Trouble is luring someone this late in the game.
The Randy Livingston ship has long sailed - he would be ideal, I'm sure his interest is minimal.

John Brady isn't doing anything, at least the team would play some defense.

Nobody wants a 1 year job where you go 6-12 in the SEC.

A mime or midget would help sell tickets. Otherwise it's just gonna be a waste of payroll for a guy to get shown the door in February.

I'm still supporting the program, but at this point we might as well just put a broom in that vacant bench seat

I was wondering this myself. I'm sure there are some people from the Dale Brown era that we haven't further enriched yet that we could bring in. Maybe we can just hire Clarence Ceasar this time instead of just letting him be the AD on our coaching searches.

Shouldn't be too hard to land anyone, seeing as there won't be any actual coaching involved
