The author takes a slit jab at LSU opponents run defense. He says only two teams held their opponents under 125 yards rushing per game: Atkansas and Alabama.

I can't wait to see all the Sunday headlines. This team is beyond ready to wreck shite. No more wide eyes, no more tentiveness. Just relentless violence on both sides of the ball.

Of the 12 opponents LSU faced last season, only two finished holding opponents to 125 rushing yards or fewer per game.

How many should be there? Less than 125 yd/g is good for 18th in the country last year.

Also, UF and Ole Miss would have been there without the LSU game.

I think that's a good point. Fournette will have to earn his yards in this one.

That's because after Fournette drops 200+ on a team in 3 quarters, then Guice adds another 75, your defensive rushing stats get wrecked. He's the CAUSE of the stat, not the beneficiary.

With respect to Leonard Fournette's 200+ yard rushing games, that you reference, the team LSU truly caused to free-fall was Auburn. Had Auburn even held LSU to their season average against the run, they would have ranked 61st nationally instead of 92nd.

The other three teams (Eastern Michigan, Texas Tech, and Syracuse) that allowed Fournette to run for 200+ were all pretty bad against the run either way. Syracuse, for example, allowed 200+ yards in seven games last season, five of which were in a row to end the year.

Really not a knock on Fournette, as I do think he is the best RB in the country, but I just don't totally buy that he is the cause of the stat.

I remember how Syracuse fans and writers were talking about how their team hadnt allowed a 100 yard rusher in 15 straight games going into the the game last year....and Fournette proceeded to rub his nut sack over the face of their entire team

And he had an 80+ yard run called back for Chi I believe not being lined up properly.

They were just pulling stats out of their arse since Chris James ran for 120+ on them near the end of the 2014 season.

Shitty part about that is Chi checked with the ref before the snap and the ref nodded that he was good. If LF gets that run and plays against McNeese, he has more yards than Henry and owns the SEC record for rushing yards in a season.

No doubt he was robbed of at least 250 yards (the 80 yard run v. Syracuse; 175 v. McNeese even if he was in a coma).

LF will get his yards... Y'all are the first team he's faced in a year. He's fresh and hungry!!! This will be a totally different team that you guys saw two years ago. He's going to get 200 in this one or they will get a combined 250 between Guice and LF. Guice is a very very talented back maybe just as good as LF and better in some aspects. If LSU uses the correct game planning we should win this easily. Put up over 400 yards on wisky. The defense is going to shut down yalls running attack and look out after. Good luck though
