The Princeton Review's annual rankings, released on Monday, placed the university No. 1 in its categories for "party schools" and institutions with "lots of beer." UW-Madison took the No. 5 spot in the "lots of hard alcohol" category as well.

I only post this to wish all of you LSU fans coming to Green Bay safe travels and to remind you to pack your drinking livers! This is gonna get nuts! Enjoy!

Clearly you underestimate the amount of alcohol we consume down here.

I'm filing this game under the "enjoy the hell out of the anticipation and pregame" category, because once it starts, it may not be too fun.

LSU representatives were obviously too drunk to respond to polling

Lots of threads on this topic in the last few weeks. However, as a New Orleans boy born and bred, I'll have to tip my glass to you Wisconsinites! Triangle area of Green Bay/Neenah-OshKosh/Appleton listed at the top three in this article.

America's Drunkest 20 Cities.

Which begs the question--what's the police/road blocks/DUI checkpoint situation there?

But...seriously...

That's the great thing about having it in Green Bay vs. Houston... if we run low, we just have to call down to Milwaukee and have them make more!

That study was done by a Wisconsin based company.

Hard to say on the checkpoints. I can't remember there ever being a checkpoint in town, but maybe they've started in the city on weekend nights. It wouldn't surprise me, if they're out in force this weekend, especially on the routes toward Milwaukee and Appleton. Definitely don't recommend driving over the limit (ever, but especially this weekend).

Y'all must not party too much if you have "lots of beer" left.

LSU had that same reputation in the 90's, but administration tried to curb the party school image when the flagship agenda was implemented.

FWIW, Tiger fans are notorious for drinking a lot. However we try to let our unique regional food and hospitality shine through at our tailgate parties.

I have faith that Wisconsin will be more prepared than Seattle was. I'm not sure if they've fully recovered yet.

In Wisconsin, beer doesn't count as alcohol. The one time I visited the UW Student Union, they were drinking beer at 10AM. From the body count of empties on the tables, they had been at it for a couple of hours too. Weekday, classes in session.

If there were a drinking championship, these two schools would be in the final match. Every year.

UW also has had that reputation since the 90's... the 1890's!

LSU's party reputation in the 90's was much bigger than any schools today

OK, your right, I forgot you're LSU so it must have been better? How exactly are you quantifying that statement?

All I know is that I graduated HS in 1991 and that year UW was #1 on Playboy's Party School with ASU 2nd.

I'm sure your school is a blast to attend, and you should be proud of your school, but certainly you don't corner the market on partying and never have. But I hope you have fun trying.

Many times in school our group would head to the union terrace for a project/group meeting, and the books would never come out of our bags and the beer would be flowing.
