Our o-line has really been bad thus far, in my humble opinion. I'm sure all the experts on here can tell me if I'm right or wrong.

Until O-line improves, we won't see a lot of offensive progress.

You're not wrong. OL has been by far the most disappointing position group this season.

Agree they are soft...there is zero push on run plays and passing the blocking is a nightmare. I'm confident that the new HC/OC will see this and Grimes will be gone; heck Grimes should be shone the door immediately.

Very good point.....if the O-Line improves, Ettling will have time to be much more effective....opening up the passing game will help the run game,,but it has to start in the trenches!!

This is exactly right and it makes me wonder how Grimes has kind of gotten looked over by all the people calling for coaches jobs. He and BDP should be packing up this morning as well.

Agree! While the run-blocking has been up/down, their pass protection has been UNSAT! DE was running for his life most of the AUB game, as was BH during the WISC game. Better figure it out FAST, or it will be more of the same vs UF, OM, Bama, TAM, etc.... Hard to believe with all that 4-5 start talent, we can't put 5 solid guys out there. They need to bow up, and put a stake in the ground...no more sacks. Finish strong LSU!

I don't think you'll see any improvement as long as he's here. His schemes are too difficult to understand and play mistake free in crunch time.

That being said, there aren't many SEC Caliber OL's out there in the first place. OL is by far the most vastly over rated recruiting area of the LSU football program. Talk about Square Peg Round Hole. OL has been worse than QB's................

We all know where the weaknesses are and so does LSU. Missouri is in for a beat down.

Why is it so hard to believe the oline will be improved now that Les is gone and they MIGHT have more confidence in our offensive play calling. I bet it's hard to block every play when you've seen what our offense isn't capable of.

Les was an O lineman in college. If he was meddling in the offense then I guarantee you that he was poisoning that well too

I'm interested in seeing if they shuffle some things around and make some changes.

Not sure if its so much lack of talent as it is wrong position.

Grimes was kept for one of two reasons either they didn't have any one available or he wasn't allowed to do his job. Time will tell.

Maybe we should see how they do when not everybody in the country knows which play is coming. Surely you realize the guys on the other side of the line have a part in this too
