You really feel they are playin good baseball , huh?
He's a ULL fan. Ignore him.
If LSU were to lose to them, it would be significantly worse than losing to Stony imo.

Cajuns fan here
They've steadily improved their defense over the course of the season, but are still prone to the booted grounder or dropped pop fly.
The pitching is almost all freshman, but they have really pitched well of late. Biggest problem is not being able to get key outs to finish off an inning, and giving up 2-out hits.
The hitting is the same recipe they always use. Swing early, swing hard, get on base. They will sacrifice to move runners into scoring position with almost anyone at the plate. the entire team can bunt, and bunt well.
Blake Trahan is not Alex Bregman, but he IS damn good. He will get drafted to MLB. We dont have a Chinea, but guys like Trosclair and Girouard can hit it over any wall in the outfield.
The hitting struggles mightily against pitchers with great off-speed pitches. There aren't many guys throwing 93+ in the Sun Belt, but even against Houston, Rice, etc., the hitters can tee off on fastballs. But if you put someone on the hill with a great changeup, or worse, a huge breaking curve, the Cajuns will look foolish out there.
If this matchup does happen -- i for one will be really excited. I'm not delusional enough to think UL will sneak out with a win, but I do think they will surprise. There's definitely a fanboi element here in Lafayette, but most people would just like for other teams' fans to say "they played hard, and gave us all we wanted"

You're a troll. If 2 hits is their best, I'd hate to see their worst.

Is Stallings pitching the 9th?

Louisville could beat us in a series but they are not in our part of the bracket.

Cajuns are still going to have work to get out of regional. Rice and Houston are both still probably better ball clubs. LSU is a much better team right now then ULL. Gritty wins have been great and the Cajuns have been fun to watch. They are tough, however, being cryptic and saying ULL is a dangerous opponent is trying to poke the bear.
Baseball is a funny game, and yes anything can happen but lets get serious. This Tiger team is outstanding.

I've been saying this at work for two weeks now and everyone laughs at me. I hope I'm not, but I could very well be vindicated.

Neither team is there yet. This is baseball. STFU

Id love to see ULL pull this regional out and make it to the box, but I dont have much faith. I think their luck runs out and they drop the next two. Future is bright though. 10 freshman pitchers. This rebuilding year has been very impressive.

You have been saying what because they haven't played really good ball in this regional and I still wouldn't favor them to make it out. That's no knock on ULL. They have had some really good teams lately. This team isn't near their strongest. The sunbelt was really bad this year. This has to be a fun ending for them though, playing with house money when you consider how young their pitching is.

No one is saying this, every team that makes a super regional is talented.

Agreed. The ULL team along with its fans will need to searched before allowing them into the stadium.

UL would be the favorite imo.....

Everyone knows the Cajuns are ULL, too.
