In the long run, this loss may be for the best. Hear me out, CJJ has proven he can go out and coach up his guys. They just need the hunger and drive to succeed. This is easily the most talented roundball squad we've seen in years, and I think CJJ will use this as a teaching moment. Come Tourny time, he will have his squad firing on all cylinders.

That's good and all but what do I do with this 40-0 tattoo now?

How big is this tattoo? You could possibly get bigger numbers over the 40-0

I thought Jones coached a nice game. We were madly successful in half court plays out of timeouts, subs and timeouts made sense, and he recognized the inability of our height to rebound and went to 4 guards and press early enough to give us a chance to win.

bullshite call on Gray with 10 seconds left - calling that on a guy defending a drive with both hands up is a ref purely wanting to make the game about himself. If not for that, we win a big game without getting anything from Blakeney, Patterson or Elbert.

Why does jones consistently get support for absolute putrid coaching, and miles crucified? It's truly baffling.

What did he do tonight that was putrid? He had no part in Blakeney and Patterson missing a dozen open jumpers between the 2 of them. That's the difference in this game.

Do you even follow LSU basketball?

Jones has gotten blasted, and rightfully so, for his in-game coaching.

If by coach you mean motivate? Sure. I have problems with Jones' in game coaching decisions at times, for the most part tonight he did a good job on the bench, but I am yet to be convinced that he is an amazing coach.

Also, the talent level on this team will increase dramatically in a few weeks and hopefully it will mean less of Malone. Speaking of Malone why is he still shooting threes!

I think the talent on this team is good enough for a final four appearance if coached up well and we get some breaks, but I am yet to see that level of coaching from Jones. Not trying to bash the guy. He is doing a great job at LSU and I think he will continue to bring in great talent and hopefully get better as a coach every year.

That's a fair take. Others on this board alluding to the fact that he lost this game for us tonight are ridiculous.

It should be the last shot he takes in a LSU uniform. I don't think I'm going overboard in saying that. He's a flat out detriment to us winning games in every single way imaginable.
