I sat a few sections over from the Troy band and would just like to say that I was impressed with their halftime performance. However, am I the only one that noticed how they seemed to start playing right when TGBFTL started playing?

Also, their drum line started playing on the south lawn near the plane. Very disrespectful IMO. They were supposed to go into the stadium immediately after leaving the busses and getting equipment. Instead they decided to play on the grass. troy band. You just dont do that...

No you are not. I made the same comment last night.

When I was in band you never played when the other teams band was playing. Very rude.

When we got off the bus's we started to line up to go straight into the stadium but weren't allowed to for what ever the reason. So we went to sectionals and warmed up until we were allowed to go in. We did exactly what we were told. We only had 7 minutes on the field so we chopped down our show to fit into our allotted time, we followed every rule set forth by LSU and the NCAA. Also I dont think that we ever started playing while the tiger band was playing if we did then I apologize, I never heard them playing while we were counting off.

I think the playing while TGBFTGL played was a mere coincidence. And yes, the Tiger band does play outside of opposing stadiums. At Florida the band played for a tailgate of TAFs and Alumni. I dont see that as being rude. They were a good band and I met nothing but nice people from the band. You probably will see about 3 or 4 better bands come into Tiger Stadium in the next ten years, so give them some respect.

Everyone near me (top of south EZ) was getting mad because they made it so we couldn't hear the GBFTL.

I sat next to some drunk Troy fans, and I found the team (continuous high fiving and bumping) the band and the fans acted like they were in the Super Bowl beating the Patriots. Obviously Troy wanted this one really badly, and they were thrilled to be degrading the "mighty" LSU tigers. I think these people are Alabama rejects, people who could not enter Alabama, could not get Bama season tickets, decided to pull for Troy. I had to go to the internet to even learn where Troy is! Still not impressed.

They sounded decent, but it was just a bunch of drum rolls and power chords constantly.

Troy is actually a very nice university in the small town of Troy Alabama. The campus is very nice, and the programs offered are very good.
Troy offers programs and schedules conducive to military service, and a lot of service members from across the world are earning degrees through Troy. I am one of them and am grateful for the opportunity Troy offers; I finally graduate next month.
I will always be an LSU fan, and I would've loved to earn my degree from LSU, but it just wasn't possible since I was in the AF.
Just wanted to educate you further on Troy...no malice...

Nah,frick you!
The troy band put on a good show at the south end of the stadium.
Alot of LSU fans stopped to listen to them and enjoyed it.
I stayed and watched them for 30 min. or so.The drum line was bad arse.
I wish The golden band from tiger land would stop sometime and pput on a show for the fans like that.

What pissed me off, was at the end of the third quarter when TGBFTL starts playing. One of my favorite times of the game. Troy started playing. Pissed me off

Haha. Yeah right. We would never park, play, and dance like Southern.

No.

i can't believe that ya'll played iron man for the bball game. i don't want to be like 90% of the div 2 bands. let's continue to be unique. never play iron man/star wars. this is for the bands with no tradition.

They put on a show for the fans.
I thought it was great.
LSU marches down the road and that's cool too I just wish they would stop every once in a while.
