Wow, hate to see this but with the stupid small rosters they give baseball teams you have to do this kind of thing.

I'm assuming "release" means "revoked their scholarship"? Maybe I haven't paid attention much at all, but I've never heard of a player being "released" because of bad performance in college. Bad behavior, yes.

I wish Trey the best of luck. For some reason after his injury, he could not get back in the groove. He had a vital part in our success in 2010 and I hope he can do well with another club.

It was plain to see that no one on this team was really hitting well this season until it was too late. Even then we had trouble hitting. He's possibly the best base runner in CBB right now. I would replaced the batting coach and given him one more shot.

He needs to stabilize things so this doesn't happen every year. But he did the same thing after 2007 and it resulted in two CWS trips and a national title.
