P bean doesnt post much any more so he probably doesn't know who is who
Another thing to note:
There are two keys to Lin's success
#1 we have talked about is Lin's confidence
#2 is Dantoni granting Lin the FREEDOM to play as loose as he has been playing
It is impossible to get confidence as a young player when you are looking at the bench every time down the court to see if you are about to be pulled.
The biggest thing to watch going foward is Lin is fresh right now. Does he continue to get to the rack and finish and does he continue making jumpers when he gets heavy legs. The usage rate for Lin is 30% right now, that is a lot for a rookie.

Already said he's a diff player.... All guys in the league are not the same as in highschool, they have to get better or hey wont make it...
And he was alreay worthy in h.s. and college... He was forced to play ivy leagues and dominated uconn in college... All the people who passed on him have admitted their mistake, college and nba coaches and gms...
Lin beig good didnt just change bc he decided to attack more this seaspn... He's always been a legit player who should've been recruited to a big school and drafted in the nba, but he was ignored mostly because he's asian... Get over it dummies
edit: if he were black and this good h wouldnt have went unrecruited and undrafted... If you cant see his, hen your blind to facts....
Oh and Im not arguin with you fools anymore, ya'll obviously havent a clue
2nd edit: Supah is right I dont post much, but I knw supah is a bball fan too, and I agree with what he's sayn... However, I just truly beleive Lin was passed on throughout all these levels bc he's asian, which has been admitted ad nauseum by college and nba people, and by some of the most credible basketball people out there like magic, barry, legler, etc...

Why can't you admit he is a different player right now than he has been at any other time in his pro career?
It's much easier to scream "racist."

Your misuse of the word facts is noted.

As the designated "dummy" in the discussion, I hope I can try to more clearly articulate my view of the "Lin situation" without embarrassing myself or my family.
It is hard for me to go straight "racism" here regardless of what opinion Magic, Legler, and any other talking heads hold.
And maybe I need it defined for me.
When I think about the Ivy League, I think about players getting a great education but not playing future NBA players nearly every night. Consider that four Harvard (a "pretty old" school) players have made it to the league. Lin is the first Ivy League player in the NBA since 2003 (and that guy was undrafted). And as great as his game against UConn was someone is all-Ivy League every year. From a historical standpoint being so doesn't equate to NBA success.
And yet, two years post-graduation, we all have the pleasure of seeing Lin live the dream and grow as a player. I can think of some racial, gender, and sexual orientation groups that would have loved that type of steady, short time frame progress with regards to equality.
Now, would it have been ideal for Lin to sit in the green room and hear his name called? I am sure he and his family would have loved the experience. But, to reduce his story to some low common denominator thinking (and call those that disagree with you dumb) is an insult to the work Lin has done. . .work that we are all able to enjoy because the opportunities given to him by the imperfect but fairly meritocratic system that is the NBA and NBA developmental league.
