I will not stop creating threads until I am done melting

But Geez he didn't live up to the hype

Was he a 350 pound sack of meat hard to move? Yes

Was he a game changer? Not really

He took off half the plays and did zero in passing situations and was the direct reason Bart Houston or whoever scrambled 12 yards for a first. Someone needs a light a fire in his was if this defense is expected to carry this team

On a plus note Divinity was quiet which means he did fairly well all things considered. Had a pass or so completed on him but he has a promising future

TV's duty is to plug the whole so our LBs can wreck. On passing downs he should just contain the middle of the pocket. if he gets penetration and gets a sack that is langianppe

the only reason you expected more out of him is because you are brainwashed by the idiots on TD. Yes, he going to be solid, maybe even a nightmare for Olines, but lets let the dude settle in. This was his 1st "big boy" game. JUCO is a joke and shouldn't be used as a measuring stick

He was double teamed most of the night. The talent around him did not take advantage of this. They were handled man to man most of the night. One play I saw he was tripled teamed and Key was double teamed and we still got no push to the QB. I think it's time to give the freshman some reps, they can't do no worse.

Considering he has only been with the team for a couple weeks, I'd say he didn't do so bad. Made a couple of decent plays, but he did take off a few as well. That's the toss up with those big 3-4 NT's. For every good-great play, they take one-two off.

He won't "contain" or "push back" the O-Line of he just lets them move him around because he's too un motivated to do anything during pass situations

I thought Valentine did pretty damn well.

That is an elite OL, it was his first game, and it's a new system to him. He's had like 2 weeks of practice to get into shape and learn the scheme.

He's a huge dude, he can't be expected to have the endurance of guys 100 lbs lighter than him.

When he was in, he ate up 2 or 3 blockers almost every time and several times pushed double teams back into the play. He met all of my expectations because my expectations weren't outrageous. I also expect him to improve as the year goes on and he gets acclimated to the system and gets in better game shape.

You know zero about Aranda's defense. You apparently watched Valentine on zero plays Saturday.

Y'all should rewatch the game. Yes, Valentine got gassed and had his hands on his hips on some drives, but he also did pretty damn well other times.

Let him get into game shape. Guy didn't have Summer camp like the rest of the players.

I leave my trolling for the Poli board

I'm just annoyed watching players take off plays. Especially LSU players

This.

Needs to get his conditioning better, but he was pretty good.

I thought he played pretty damn good for his first real game. He stood up a couple of times and needs to work on technique but he is going to be good. Overall I was very disappointed that we couldn't get more pass rush though.
