Totally Different Team Coming Saturday

When the Tigers take the field this Saturday, and future Saturday's this season, I expect to see a team playing disciplined football with a lot of emotion. Miles and Orgeron's approaches to coaching couldn't be more different. The discipline might take a couple weeks for the players to adapt to, since Les never fussed at them, according to Dural. The players also won't feel so much pressure, as there's no lofty ranking, no coach on the hot seat, and SEC championship and playoff appearances are all but out of the picture. I've felt pretty apathetic since the Wiscy loss, but I now have a new found optimism going forward. Of course I want the Tigers and Bebe to win every game, but no matter what, changes are being made and to me that's a positive for the program.

I'm not getting my hopes up. Hard to stay focused in a time like this.

I have faith in O keeping them focused.

I read fine. Discipline isn't a new haircut or a prosthetic leg. You don't have it before you adapt to the idea that it is demanded now more than ever.

This team has been coddled ... Not sure how they will respond to O's style.

Absolutely. Been saying this since the news broke. Ogeron is coaching for millions ((not here but after LSU). It's in his best interest to get the best talent on the field and call plays that put us in positions to win. He wants this and he will make us look good, even if we lose.

College football has schematically changed quite a bit since Coach O was at Ole Miss. His, and the program's this year, will depend in large part based on how well he adjusts to the new styles of offense and defense. Having Arranda is a plus.

O will let Aranda run the D, and Ensminger run the O. I would've liked to see Craig take over as OC, but SE is the logical choice with his familiarity with the offense and experience as an OC. These guys will all coach like they have nothing to lose.

Craig has already been named the OC

He can try all he wants but he will still be a DL coach

Really, thought he was receivers coach/ recruiting coordinator now...

Don't get your hopes up. Could be even worse.

Depends on if the team rallies around the O or gets in a funk and shuts down. I don't think O will tolerate any loafing though.
