And that mess has been created by nearly 6 decades of the state planning their budgets around projected tax revenues from the oil and gas industry. This is not something Jindal started, though I wish that a man with his business intellect would have spent more time in attempting to steer the state away from this trap. We've been through this a half-dozen times since the 50's. We must develop a tax base that is fair and balanced for all types of industry and moves away from such significant dependence upon one source of revenue.

Yes the socialist raise taxes to distribute the wealth, but it sure would be nice to make sure all that increased revenue goes where it should. Like on education. Let's not get into Poli-board material. His speech was a complete scare tactic to get his raise taxes agenda pushed through. Now it is probably needed so all will be well LSU football will survive the latest attempt by the gumps to render us powerless.

Well La. has been doing that for a Loooooooooong time. See what I did there. I love where I come, from but the difference in the way even local governments in Texas are run is night and day compared to La.
