Top Winning College Football Programs of Last 10 Years (USATODAY)

Last week, we dusted off the adding machines to find the winningest NFL team of the past 10 years. This week, we do the same thing with college football, looking all the way back to 2005 to find which school has produced the most victories in the last decade.
1. Boise State — 113 wins
2. Ohio State — 110 wins
3. Alabama — 107 wins
4. Oregon — 106 wins
5. LSU — 103 wins
----------------------------------------------------
When you drive a machine like these dominant programs and the wheels start coming off, you do not sit back and wait for the crash. You take corrective action to stay on the track. Nothing personal involved. For LSU to remain in that lofty group , after including what has transpired on the field for 2-3 years means this program was once strong enough to achieve that position despite the slow, steady, downward decline as of late. Its now time for action to retain that type of program. The proof lies with #3 on the list. They are still in that Top 5 rank despite many hit and miss corrections (several HC changes before they got back on track) with the present Coach.

Alabama - 107
LSU - 103
If both programs had 105, things would be very, very different...

We are top 2 if we did that 2 years ago.

I'd like to see the last 5 years.

Wonder what the stats are for the most wins in the last 3 years. Which is way more relevant to the current situation.

Like Nebraska, Notre Dame, Miami, and USC?
We are machine unlike these pathetic programs, right?
Amazing that some of you can't remember father back than 3 years.

Riiiiiight. Because Les got hit on the head 3 years ago and forgot how to coach?

These numbers are for 2005-2014, for those wondering.

Those might revile the Miles slippage. Convenient huh?

Let's take Boise St off the list since they play in a meh division.
So you mean to tell me, LSU would be the most winningesr school if Les wasn't going head to head with Nick Saban?
Damn that's pretty good. For two teams in the same division keeping up that level of play!

Notre Dame is doing fine. Unless you think they should've kept Weiss.
USC didn't fire Pete Carroll. he's proven hard to replace. You think USC should've kept Sark or Kiffin?
When did Miami fire a coach that shouldn't have been fired? You wanted them to keep Coker?
Nebraska did probably make a mistake by firing Solich. Plenty people acknowledge that. But wtf does Nebraska have to do with LSU? Of course programs have down years. If your point is that new coaches don't always work out, well yeah obviously nothing is certain and the wrong hire can bring about bad years. But do you remember when Alabama wasn't very good?

How many of each of these wins were against cupcakes? I am asking for a Buckeye friend.

Are you really trying to compare Miles to Weiss, Kiffin, Sark, and Coker?

So I assume mark helfrich is getting the boot this year.

Miles has 52 wins in the last 5 years (2010-2014). I'd imagine there are no coaches outside of Saban who have more.
For example, Dabo Swinney has had 10+ win seasons every year since 2011, yet he still only has 48 wins in that same stretch.
Oregon has 60 wins between Kelly and Helfrich, and Saban has 58. That is it.
ETA: Ohio State has 56 between Tressel, Fickel, and Meyer.
