Top 5 possible basketball hires

If our AD is willing to spend (hopefully he is) any 5 of these guys could possibly be gettable.

Brey is a legit option and there's serious interest there. He has some tie to this area, but not sure what it is.

That may be, but if Alleva spends at or near the top of the market after taking a trip to the Dollar General to find the football coach there will, and should be, blowback.
The market for the lsu basketball coach will not be set by the CBB market, but in comparison to CEO.

we didn't go cheap on football coaching spending. look at the money the whole staff makes.
which makes a lot of sense, actually.
there are only a couple of guys out there really worth the big money as head coach. could easily count them on one hand. and none of those guys were leaving their schools.

Why would Brey leave a very solid basketball program in the ACC in which he has made the elite 8 the past two years to come coach here?

Im surprised nobody here has mentioned Jay Wright. The pipeline from Philly to Baton Rouge would be strong as lead!
