Say Jimbo doesn't work out
Ok so we hire Herman as an OC and pay him his salary at Huston. We don't buyout les and let him coach his contract out. Just have Herman as the coach in waiting.have a clause in contract if he dident work out than all the coach in waiting is void
ETA have a meeting with les and say
You have to let Herman run the offense or your gone

He wants the Texas Job, hiring Herman would not be good for LSU.

Les is the problem. As long as Les is there, the team will underachieve, play poorly with no discipline and mediocre results. Les must go and will be going.

Herman would leave his job as a head coach, have multiple other offers as a head coach, but will take the job at LSU as an OC? Makes sense.

This is what I've been saying for a week...it's the safest move.

It doesn't matter who the OC is as long as Miles is the HC. LSU is where OC careers go to die because of him

At this point (as much as I hate to say) Miles and LSU are over. There is no way to salvage the relationship after what has transpired the last week. If Alleva and the Board dont have a big name, top flight HC all but signed currently then LSU is in big time trouble for several years!!

And next year Strong is fired and Herman bails to take the Texas job.
We are left with nothing. Brilliant.
The whole coach on waiting thing is just stupid.

Is Texas his "dream job"?
Has he said this in an interview or something?

The whole "coach in waiting" thing is dead. Schools don't do that anymore
