That is part of it, but our problems run deeper than that.

Les isnt as dumb as yall want him to be. Only way USCe beats us is with turnovers. LF7 isn't gonna fumble.

Last week in the first half we ran 30 plays, 11 of which were passes. It's not like we didn't try. We just didn't execute.

I've had that same feeling this week. It will be interesting to see if it happens.

But I still want Fournette to run for 200+.

My hope is that they worked the hell out of the issues exposed in that tape. There were plenty to go around between Harris, the WRs, and the O Line. Also, remember the way we attacked Auburn and State at the edges with screens and easy short stuff? Being that this is a conference game, those are likely to reappear this week.

If we could take the passing attack vs AU, and add two completed deeper throws and a two or three intermediates to that, we would be right where we need to be.

The stars (and important strategic factors) have aligned for Coach Malcolm Cameron, Brandon Harris, and the LSU pass catching personnel.

I sure hope so. It looked like it yesterday.

As Churchill said, "This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. It is, instead, the end of the beginning." Of course, he said this after smoking a fat blunt, but still ...

I didn't need a glass ball or Tarot cards. There were several obvious factors that indicated that LSU would show significant improvement in the passing game. For example, the rankings of the defensive components of USCe and LSU's next four opponents clearly suggested that LSU would start focusing on the passing game. As another example, the back pressure was building on the development the passing game. There are also two recruiting factors that could not be ignored.

And for the record, I specifically referenced "LSU pass catching personnel" rather than receivers because it was fairly obvious that LSU would start working in TEs and backs into the passing game. One-third of the receptions yesterday were made by TEs and backs.
