Today is a day where we remember those no longer with us

In the Fall of 2010, I was able to attend and enjoy a day of fun and beauty when our LSU Tigers defeated Alabama in Death Valley. It was a man and his boy. That boy had become a man, but he was able to escape to a place where anything was possible and dreams could come true.
In May of the following year, the powers-that-be decided that is was time for my father to learn the answers to the greatest mysteries of the universe.
For anyone that has loved and lost and lived the ups and downs of life and LSU, you know that certain days and certain moments bring you back to those places of ultimate happiness combined with ultimate longing for how things used to be.
Today needs to be that day.
Today needs to be a day that awakens the ghosts of days gone by.
Today needs to be a day where parents and their children can know that anything is possible.
His name is L. E. James.
He is loved.
He is missed.
HE IS FOREVER LSU.

RIP to my father who was the biggest LSU fan I knew. Never had a negative thing to say about the Tigers, always taught me to believe until the end for the Tigers. I can't be the fan he was because he was one of a kind, but I can damn sure honor him every single game day every single year and fly my flag and wear my Purple and Gold proudly and root like hell for the Tigers until the very end! I miss him so much at this time every single year and I can definitely feel his presence on Saturdays like this through out the year. To my best friend and my dad CWF#8 I love you and miss you! In 2007 my son said "lsu needs to play perfect" after the bama TD punt return. That is the only time he has ever said anything about lsu.
I think that about sums it up, LSU needs to play perfect after the bama dynasty.

I lost my dad about a month before the 2011 season started. I hated not being able to share that incredible regular season with him. It is days like today that make me miss him the most....he loved the big games just like the rest of us.

Sorry for your loss.
Mike Archer was on duty when mine checked out.
He was a Cholly Mac man as they went to UK together.

I feel the same about my dad, luckily he's still here but he won't make it much longer. I'm a 41 year old man and I don't know what I will do without him. FML

My best memories are with my dad in Tiger Stadium. Dad passed away almost 2 years ago. I know he'll be watching today! Miss you Dad.
