My question to you is if Brandon Harris and the passing offense is so bad, what is your plan to improve it? Seriously. What would you do differently at this point?

Sit Harris for Anthony Jennings??

Even if it was remotely possible, would you switch to a Baylor-style aerial show when we have a once in a generation RB??

This is what we have. It won't change the rest of the season no matter how much you bitche about it. And IMHO, I still don't see anything wrong with B. Harris' play. The kid can make all the throws and has only given up a fluke INT for the entire year. That's all we need from him.

I swear, some of y'all want to complain just to complain.

harris has the arm to make all the throws and he's not turning the ball over and he's extending drives better with his legs and rushing for tds..

theres no reason to change that. guys just have to continue catching the ball like this past game

Harris is still fairly inaccurate and is still way too slow on the pass. He doesn't anticipate the route and read it, and waits until he sees the receiver open before he makes the throw.

That being said, he's improving every single game, and the dude is dual threat legit, and makes a lot of plays with his legs. He's gonna be fine as the year goes on. And he's MILES ahead of Jennings.

I think the main complaint is that he should be much more efficient (WRs included) when we are passing the ball with 8 to 9 in the box.

It's not just his fault there is plenty of blame to spread. I did like how he progressed yesterday. Let's hope it continues.

I'm skeptical that the passing offense can be "Prolific".
I think the way it is now is perfectly fine. Run heavy offense with the ability to throw a little bit to keep the defense honest.
I'm much more pleased with Harris' ability to run the ball than throw it though.

Do y'all remember how bad our qb was last year? This guy is making teams actually think about us passing which is all we need with a hell of a run blocking oline and the best rb core in the nation.

Uh um...* cough* Baylor is number 2 in rushing offense, one spot ahead of LSU.

That's where quick slant passes would be deadly when teams have 9-10 men in the box on us. But apparently a slant pass of any kind is not in the miles/Cameron playbook.

I'm sorry but there is two threads today after a fine performance by Harris about how overrated he STILL is.

Needed to get it off of my chest. It's pathetic that people think there's some miracle out there to make our passing game on the level of say a TCU, Florida, or Baylor. Harris can and will improve through each game.

He just has to be forced to throw. That's what happened in yesterday's game (up until halftime) and he did just fine.

In other words, he is playing like a first time starter.

Holy shite, they're good. Oh well, I hope my point was made. We're not changing offensive schemes anytime soon.

Why would you pick Florida? There are multiple teams within the conference with better passing stats than Florida. They are averaging 246 yards per game...I believe LSU could attain stats similar to that moving forward (obviously won't reach that average after the way the season started, but 246 isn't some crazy number).

What do you mean by first time starter? Like, first time ever he has started a college game? Or first year starting where he is the clear cut starting QB?

If the latter, I agree.

Florida threw it a lot more on Ole Miss' defense. I don't think Cam Cameron will throw it as many times. I understand your point

Up until yesterday his decision making has been very timid, hence the no interceptions. He has been a bottom tier SEC QB thus far but I am sure a few more games like yesterday and the confidence will come.

The only 2 criticisms I have of Harris is his accuracy and his inability to throw open a wr.

Yes. Except for for game thus passed Saturday, our passing game and stats looked exactly the same as last year.
